PART I.

OPENING CEREMONY

Julie Foudy once said and I quote, “Sports build good habits, confidence, and discipline. They
make players into community leaders and teach them how to strive for a goal, handle mistakes, and
cherish growth opportunities. “

Good morning Inmaculadistas, Lay Mission Partners, DC Sisters and dear parents. Welcome to the
CIC- Mandaue 2018 Intramural Games bearing the theme: A Sustained Vincentian Excellence,
Music and Arts.

To formally start our opening salvo, let us all dispose ourselves for the Flag Ceremony and Invocation
to be spearheaded by the CAT Officers and the CVF Team respectively.

It is indeed fulfilling to start the day rekindling our patriotism and hearing the words of God, right?

To welcome us all and tell what to look forward in this 4-day momentous event, let us all welcome
our Student Council President, Fylmagne Louis Bonalos as he deliver his Opening Remarks.

Certainly, after hearing the honourable President everyone is already on the hype! So Without further
ado, let’s get to know the participating teams of this year’s Intramural Games to be introduced by our
Student Activity Coordinator, Mr. Phillip A. Cortes. To be followed by the banner raising with the
respective Muse and Prince Charming of each participating team.

There we have it Inmaculadistas! Congratulations Grade for being the first team to raise
their banner.

And to set ablaze the spirit of camaraderie and sportsmanship, let us now witness the lighting of
the symbolic flame by the different varsity team representatives.

Basketball – Rhey Allen Boquia and John Nelson Duallo;

Volleyball – Joseph Alivio and Jacquelyn Nombrado;

Badminton – Bridgette Alipin and Genesis Tinio;

Soccer – Andrei Catnubay and Elijah Suico and;

Table Tennis – Jim Leah Cabiles and Clyde Noob.

This is then to be followed by the Oath of Sportsmanship to be led by Simon Spencer Solon.

After which is the Ceremonial Tossing of the Ball by our beloved Cluster President, Sr. Maria Luia
B. Javier, DC.

And finally to formally declare the opening of the CIC-Mandaue Intramural Games 2018, let us all
welcome with a reverberating sound of applause, our ever-dynamic Principal, Dr. Emelita C. Bacus.

Alright! The game is officially on! And to further intensify each and everyone’s grit let us witness a
presentation from our very own CIC-Mandaue Drum and Lyre Corp.
PART II. DANCE PALABAS & CHEER DANCE COMPETITION

Okay! Let the competitions begin right off the bat!

The Dance Palabas showcase requires the team to present all forms of fusions of all forms and styles
of dance under certain theme of their choice. To read the mechanics and introduce the board of
judges, may we call in our SCB-JHS representative Hon. Kyle Gabuya.

To give time for the panel to finalize the results, let us first be entertained with an intermission by
.

Moving on to the second competition, Cheerdance is the dance portion of cheerleading, where
tumbling and stunts are not included. It is made of 4 parts, namely pom dance, jazz, hiphop and line
dance. Each performance is judged by the dance skills and choreography, as well as team
coordination. This sport is full of energy, from the competitors’ smiles and acting expressions. To read
the mechanics of the competition, let us have Hon. Nigel Hofileña – SCB-SHS Representative.

To serenade us with their angelic music and symphony, lo and behold, the CIC-Choir! With their
mentor, Mr. Jazzrel Larrazabal conducting.

And now we’re down to the moment of truth! But before we announce the winners, Inmaculadistas
let us hear first your flashy cheers!

To announce the winners, let us have the Chairman of the Board of Judges.

CONGRATULATIONS and for winning this year’s Dance

Palabas and Cheer Dance competition and of course to each and every one for doing their best
towards the fulfilment of this endeavour.

And may we have our SHS Department Corrdinator, Mdm. Crsipina Geraldine Ellaña to recognize the
people behind the success of our Opening Salvo.

Since we began this event with an invocation it is right and proper to end this morning program with
a prayer.

This has been Ms. Kate Yurag and Mr. Harryl Jay Ondo your Masters of the Ceremony living you
with the quote, “Just Play. Have fun. And enjoy the game”. May we all have a great Intramural
Games ahead!
