Subject:- Approval for Approach Road for Proposed Retail Outlet abutting on the boundary
of NH 907-A at CHKM. 64.085 (RHS) Mohal Ghumarda, Khasra No. 167/147/90/23/1,
171/159/151/120/95/25/1, On Nahan - Kumarhatti Road, Tehsil & Distt. Solan in the state
of Himachal Pradesh.

Dear Sir,

This is in reference to your letter vide no. PW/NHD-NHN/WA-NOC/2022-23- 2022-2023:-


3320-21 Dated 30-08-2022 and Regional Officers letter no. 333 Dated 05-07-2022. The point
wise reply of observations raised vide RO’s letter no. is as under:

i. The curve in question is at a distance of nearly 50 m from the edge of fuel station
boundary in the direction of descending chainage, and there is safe sight distance
(SSD) as recommended in the IRC, Moreover all the safety measures has been
proposed to ensure no traffic conflict occur at the location.
ii. The proposed site for fuel station is located at a location where there is sufficient SSD
(safe sight distance) of more than 25.00m as recommended by IRC : 52, 2019 page no.
23 for a design speed of 25kmph and the specified speed limit in this area is 25 kmph.
Whereas in our case the SSD of more than 50.00m i.e 53.40m from the boundary of
fuel station is available at proposed site for safe traffic operations in hilly area.
Beside this there is setback distance of more than 5.0m which is more than as
recommended by IRC : 52, 2019 page no. 34.
iii. The construction work of the fuel station has already been stopped long back and will
be further taken up only after in principle approval is accorded by competent
authority and no damages to the NH has been done by us. At the same time all
developments have been done beyond control line.
iv. You are therefore requested to grant in-principle approval at the earliest please.
