Birthday Cake Gnome.

Materials needed:

1. Yarn Art Jeans, 55% cotton, 45% acryl, 50g/160m, next


colors:

• for body - brown № 40


• for hat - pink № 20, milk № 03
• for nose - nude № 05
• for décor - bright pink №74, yellow №35, purple №51

2. Crochet hook 2 mm or 2.25 mm (US: B, UK:14)


3. Fiberfill, thick sewing needle, pins.
4. Piece of cardboard 4 on 4 inch for one gnome’s base.
5. Some semi wool yarn any thickness for pigtails.

Cut off the yarn. Hide the end.
Crochet one round from free loops of 10-th round:
Chain 3, start with the 2nd loop from the hook: 2 sc, 3
sc in the next 3 stitch of 9 round, chain 6, start with
the 2nd loop from the hook: 5 sc, 5 sc in the next 5
stitch of 9 round. Repeat 7 times. Cut off the yarn,
hide the end. Sew the ends.

Milk decor.
With milk yarn.
Rnd 1: 7 sc in the MR
Rnd 2: 7 inc (14)

Cut off the yarn. Sew to the hat.
Candle.
With bright pink yarn.
Work in continuous rounds without slip
stitches.
Rnd 1: 8 sc in the MR
Rnd 2-6: sc in each stitch around 5
rounds.
Stuff the candle with the fiberfill.
Cut off the yarn, leave a long end.
Close the top using a needle, sew to
the hat.
Flame.
With yellow yarn.
Chain 7, start with the 3rd loop from the hook.
1 dc, 2 hdc, 1 sc, in last stitch:(sl st, ch 1, 1 sl st),
work along the other side of the foundation chain: 1 sc,
2 hdc, 1 dc, ch 2, 1 sl st.
Cut off the yarn, leave a long end, sew to the candle.
Embroider the flame with purple yarn as shown on the
photo.
Insert the cardboard base into the hat. Add some
fiberfill at your discretion.

3.Arms
Start with the milk yarn.
Rnd 1: 8 sc in the MR, go on in continuous rounds

Connect the brown yarn:
Rnd 6: BLO 10 sc
Rnd 7-11: sc in each stitch around 5
rounds.
Stuff the bottom part of the arm
(hand) with fiberfill. Don’t stuff
the top part of the arm so they don't
stick out.
Fold so that the stitches of the last
round line each other.
Crochet the opposite stitches with 4-5
sc.
Cut off the yarn, leave a long end for
sewing.
Embroider the arms with black yarn as
shown on the photo.

4.Nose

5.Assembly and decoration


For pigtails cut off yarn, tie a piece of yarn to the free
5 loops of 21 round, repeat for second pigtail. Distance
between the pigtails 3 free loops.

Attach the arms, and nose to the body with some pins
between 21 and 22 rounds of the body (to the free loops
of 21th round).

Put on the hat. The top of arms and nose should be placed
under the hat. Move them the way you like.
Take off the hat, sew the arms and nose to the body.
Put on the hat and attach it with hidden stitches.

Finish the round in an invisible way:
Thread the end of yarn through the needle, skip one stitch
and guide the yarn into the next stitch as shown on the
photo.
Insert the needle back in the same stitch where the yarn
end is coming from. Pull the yarn and fasten the obtained
stitch on the wrong side of detail.

Embroider the hat with black yarn as shown on the photo.

Milk foam.
With milk yarn.
Crochet 3 dc in each free stitch of 1,3,5,7 rounds.
Cut off the yarn. Hide the end.

With milk and pink yarn. Change the color every 2 rounds.

With berry, bright pink and pink yarn. Crochet 3 berries.

Attach the arms, and nose to the body with some pins
between 21 and 22 rounds of the body (to the free loops
