PRAYER OF THE STUDENT TEACHER

Dear God, thank you for this another day that you have gave to me.
The wisdom and source of knowledge will always be worth cherishing in
my heart, forgive me for all the sins that I’ve committed. I sincerely
accept your guidance and love to rule my whole practice teaching.
Thank you, Lord, for giving me the opportunity to teach and learn from
my students. Always bless us to our everyday lessons through your
guidance and love in our journey. Bless my heart for becoming more
committed to teaching my students; always keep my lessons interesting
in order to keep their full attention in my discussion. Make me a good
role model for my learners, and I hope that I will become an effective
and efficient teacher for them. Touch their hearts as well and encourage
them to be kind and cooperative throughout my teaching journey. All
the lessons will still be in their minds and hearts even if I’m done with
my training. I am grateful for this blessing, and I am honored to be the
vessel through which I share light and hope with my students. Always
make me your instruments to show your great love to all of my learners.
To all the teachers in this school, thank you for your wholehearted
guidance and sharing expertise in this field.
Amen.

CREED OF THE STUDENT TEACHER

“Today, The students in your

classroom bringing you to insanity
and anxiety, But one day when they
grown up, They will remember the
teacher who never gave up on
them”

4
PERSONAL EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY

My educational philosophy is that all students have the ability to learn.

They do not all learn at the same rate, but they do so use different methods
and strategies possible. Students should not be viewed as mindless beings
waiting to be filled with knowledge by their teachers. Students, on the other
hand, should be regarded as individuals who can contribute to the classroom
by sharing and learning from one another. Students require more than just
lectures.
An education is more than just academics; the teacher must also
educate her students mentally by teaching them problem-solving skills and
socially by teaching them how to communicate and work productively with
others. Students must be able to function in a real-world setting. which
necessitates not only academic knowledge but also social skills. I believe that
teachers should not be the only ones responsible for educating students, but
that parents, families, and communities should collaborate to support and
enrich the lives of their children, who are the future.
To reach every student, teachers must employ a variety of methods and
approaches. Teachers who only use one method of instruction, in my opinion,
should not be in the classroom. They are clearly not reaching all of their
students because, as we all know, not all students learn in the same way.
Teachers must reach out to visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learners. Using a
variety of teaching methods will help all students succeed by creating an
interesting and enjoyable environment. I intend to use a variety of teaching
methods, including hands-on, technology-based, cooperative learning groups,
and group discussion.

INTRODUCTION

“PURPOSE, CONTEXT AND BELIEF” I remember how teacher Sabrina

Ongkiko said on her speech entitled “Discovering your life’s true calling” Where
she explained those three words.

First is purpose, knowing about my purpose why I chose to be an

educator in the future and that is because I want to teach children, I want to
nurture what I have learned from schooling by imparting knowledge towards
my students, I want them to change their negative views about education and
make them focus on what amazing things can be done through education. Next
is Context, by providing learning materials and teaching strategies I can
encourage learners to find their value and strength. As a future educator it is
my responsibility to impart sense of belongings to every student where there is
no left behind, all of them will find their uniqueness and use that as their
strength. Lastly is Belief, by believing that my skills and abilities are enough to
educate children, I also making them to believed that they can change and can
be successful in the future because sometimes showing that you believed
them, that is enough for them that can reach their goals and greatest dream in
life.

Teaching profession is hard, but like what teacher Sabrina said, If it’s a
“God’s calling you need to have “PASSION” means PASS I ON. She also
added that discovering your life’s true calling may found in changing and taking
different careers, Why We are finding this calling? She added that We are
finding our true life’s calling because We want to feel the fulfillment in life. As a
future educator, there are times that I questioned myself, is this path really for
me? Or I am just taking this because of the standard of society or this just a
course that is convenient for what I have but I also believed that there is a
purpose why God put me here

17
Being a student teacher is hard, most of the time We experienced
anxiety and stressful situation in handling classroom management, coping up
possible problems occur and preparing instructional materials that can maintain
students’ interest in learning but this brought positive impact to every student
teacher because those experiences will serve as the opportunity to improve
ourselves to be a better teacher and a quality educator in the future

18
BRIEF
DESCRIPTION OF
THE COOPERATING
SCHOOL

19
HISTORY OF TAGUMPAY NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

The former Gen. Licerio Geronimo Memorial Highschool Tagumpay

Annex now known as Tagumpay Naional highschool was established on June
30, 2003 with its seven pioneer teachers who started at volunteer namely,
Mrs. Army Cruz, Mrs. Gina Manigo, Mr. Jericho Sabado, Mr. Borricano Jr.,
Ms. Del Rosario and Mr. Daeng under its first OIC Mr. Gervacio. As a call to
quality education, additional volunteer teachers were hired to fill the need of
the school. They are Dr. Velarde, Mrs. Alba, Mrs. Galapon, Ms. Lictoad, Ms.
Marites Ancheta, Ms. Angeles, Mrs. Santos and Mrs. Talens. The first
enrolled students are 600 In numbers but pioneer teachers started without
instructional materials and facilities but they successfully delivered their
mission and that is to bring education at their doorstep another leap of
success was experienced under the leadership of Mrs. Camarse inshort she
managed to improve the principal’s office.

MY COOPERATING TEACHER

ALIMBOYONG, GEMMA’S COOPERATING TEACHER

My cooperating teacher was Wilfredo T. Pagaduan Jr., he is teaching
for 11 years now and currently teacher 2 in a position at Tagumpay National
high school and PIO of school research paper. He was my former adviser in
junior high school and also my adviser in work immersion when I was in grade
12, to make it short, I already knew him. In facts he is the reason why I took
Filipino major. The way he taught us before, it really influences me to love
Filipino subject.
For me, his way of teaching differs from others because it seems like
he is just telling the story but he is imparting us more knowledge. The way he
loves and value his students and Filipino subject by creating it more extra
ordinary made me idolized him. I remember when he organized
SAMASARGATA, a theater group that consists of students of TNHS with
different talent such as singing, dancing, acting and that group has featured in
television and won certificates and lot of positive comments
At first, I am excited to meet him again and proud to be his student
teacher but pressure at the same time because I have known “tatay Wency” as
a strict and very scrutinize person and it is also challenging for me because We
are both introverted person there are times that I hesitate to ask him a question
because I know that there are times that he wanted to be alone. On the other
hand, to be his student teacher is a privilege because I have learned a lot from
him, from creating lesson plans, creating classroom management up to building
relationship with students. He never let me down, he always helped me when
I was in trouble and never let me leave Tagumpay national highschool without
knowledge and I am always thankful that he is my CT, I remember one time he
told me that “lahat tayo ay may kaniya kaniyang uniqueness, at ang mapapayo
ko sayo, wag mong babaguhin ang sarili mo para ma meets ang standards ng
ibang CT’s ikaw ay ikaw”. It really melted my heart that he appreciates my skills.

23
He always told me that my future student will be lucky to have me as
their teacher but little did, he know that I am the luckiest student teacher
because I found a CT with passion in his profession and full of wisdom.

DACILLO, CRISTINA’S COOPERATING TEACHER

Mrs. Joanne M. Angeles was Filipino teachers who have teaching for
(18) years. She is the teacher of Tagumpay National High School in terms of
teaching in Filipino that’s why she was my designated cooperating teacher. My
co-student teacher said that Mrs. Joanne M. Angeles was generous and
excellent in terms of teaching she's not strict but you will get a more lesson
from her and I agree for that when I become her student teacher. I’m feeling
blessed that Mrs. Joanne M. Angeles is my CT, at first I’ve met her I get nervous
and don’t know what to say but she feels me that she’s my cooperating teacher
that will guide me for 2 months of being student teacher in Tagumpay National
High School. No negative words that I will say from her only positive that’s why
I'm feeling blessed from the start that I deployed in Tagumpay National High
School and I met her, she’s super supportive to me, she give me some
techniques on how I delivered the class in room.
For (2) months that she is my CT I know that I will build myself from
being introvert, I’ve so much learned from her she gave me confidence, fulfill
of words (that I know that I can), more powerful words that I will bring in my
class in four (4) section Grade 9-(Jupiter, Neptune, Mercury and also the
Homeschooling) I didn’t really know what I’m gonna do on my first class
because it’s just on my mind only that I want to do but my CT guide me and tell
some advice/suggestions that I will do in the classroom. On my first class that
I’m gonna teach the section of (Grade 9)- Jupiter I know that this is the start of
my experience as a student teacher, at first my CT doesn’t leave me she said
that she will observe me and she will give me some advice for better teaching
and how to handle the noises of my student.

24
Mrs. Joanne M. Angeles inspired me to become teacher someday, some
of my co-student teacher said to me that if I’m gonna teacher someday I’m will
become a mini-me of my cooperating teacher because the sum of personality
of my cooperating teacher can same to me or vibes sometimes, I noticed her
in faculty that she was so quietly, calm and the way she speaks so gentle
although the voice is weak but it’s so soft and I agree that we’re same
personality of my cooperating teacher. I will not forget from the start that she
became my cooperating school and I know from myself that I build my fear also
in the front of my class and I’m grateful that she doesn’t leave me behind from
the start and supported me at all.

DECORENA, JOCEL’S COOPERATING TEACHER

Ms. Loren T. Dela Cerna, my cooperating teacher, a highly skilled and
dedicated Filipino teacher with almost 4 years of experience. Throughout my
internship journey, Ms. Loren has consistently demonstrated her devotion to
her teaching career and has been a constant source of support and guidance.
One of the things that stands out most about Ms. Loren is her
organization. She always has a clear plan for each lesson and makes sure to
cover all the necessary material in a structured and effective way. This not only
helps her students learn and retain the information, but it also makes the class
run smoothly and efficiently. Her organizational skills have been particularly
helpful to me as a student teacher, as I have been able to observe and learn
from her effective teaching strategies.
In addition to being organized, Ms. Loren is also very devoted to her
teaching career. She puts a lot of time and effort into her lessons and is always
looking for ways to improve and engage her students. She is patient and
understanding, and is always willing to go above and beyond to help her
students succeed. Her dedication to her profession has been inspiring to me,
and I have learned a lot from her about the importance of hard work and
commitment in teaching.
Throughout my internship, Ma'am Loren always support and guide me,
always available to answer my questions and concerns. Her support and

25
guidance have been invaluable to my professional development, and I know
that I will carry the lessons I have learned from her with me throughout my
career as a future educator. I am grateful for all the support and assistance she
has provided me.
In conclusion, Ms. Loren T. Dela Cerna is an exceptional teacher who is
deeply devoted to her career and is highly organized and effective in the
classroom. I have learned a lot from her and am grateful for the opportunity to
work with such a talented and dedicated teacher.

FLOQUENCIO, ESTEFANIE’S COOPERATING TEACHER

Mrs. Shirley S. Cruz is a Filipino teacher, and she was my former adviser
when I was in grade 10 at Tagumpay National High School. She oriented me
about the role and function of being Student Teacher and she introduced me
to the students, and I observed her for 1 week before I taught the students. I
was disappointed of my CT because she compared me to the other ST. I was
hurt. Eventually she apologized and said that she didn't mean it. There was a
moment that the head of the Filipino Department saw me crying, she told my
CT about the situation. We settled the disagreement by a conference, and
everything went well. She started to guide me in the writing of the LP and
teaching strategies that can get the attention of each student.

FLOQUENCIO, ESTELLA’S COOPERATING TEACHER

Mrs. Ellesca A. Yalo was a Filipino Teacher who have teaching for three
(3) years. She was also one of the most famous teachers at Tagumpay National
High School she also graduated from Tagumpay National High School and
became a student teacher now she is a very good teacher at Tagumpay
National High School.
Most of my students described Mrs. Ellesca A. Yalo as being admirable,
straightforward, and fun to listen to since she occasionally makes us laugh
while other times, we are serious about learning. Based on my observations, I
can confirm that what the kids claimed is true.

26
She assisted me during every hour of my instruction, always
comes with me when I teach in the classroom and makes suggestions for
additional changes. I am grateful to my CT since I successfully incorporated all
he taught me to my own demo with the help of his suggestions, and I passed
the demo because of her assistance. Even though I was the first ST, my CT
was excellent in every lesson he gave me because he shared with me that he
had learned in class.

27
EXPECTATION AND
INTEREST OF MY
STUDENTS

28
EXPECTATIONS AND INTEREST OF ALIMBOYONG’S STUENTS
My expectations towards my students were that all the knowledge that I have
given, all the lessons that We’ve been tackled will be kept in their mind and heart
to apply it to their real-life situation. I also expected that they will respect me as the
way they respect my cooperating teacher and the relationship
We build inside and outside the classroom will be the most wonderful
moment for us to enjoy teaching and learning. In order to gain their interest, I must
provide different learning strategies and instructional materials that will help them
build their confidence and interest in learning

EXPECTATIONS AND INTEREST OF DACILLO TO HER STUENTS

Before I deployed in Tagumpay National High School I asked myself that

‘what will be the expectations of my student from (student) teacher, first my
student should learned from me and inspired more knowledge that apply from
each student it’s very challenging because I handled the 4 section the one section
is homeschooling that only meet once a week (Friday) I need to teach well every
I met my student and not forget the lessons that I teach to my all students before
my time is out in classroom and also to leave the Tagumpay National High
School.
I want to inspired my student every second and moments that build in
Tagumpay National High School if they want to enhance and to know more
knowledge we should help each other I teach and they will listen to me but
sometimes my students doesn’t listen because they’re noisy as a student teacher
I need to know what tactics I can do to listen my students by (shouting they’re
section) in other case my tactics did not effective, my other plan of tactics I do is
my hand that I lift up in form of pissed of/closed hands. Being a student teacher
there are some challenging that I will experiences in classroom but I need to give
my best to learn from me. Communication is very important to (student) teacher
and students to know more and improved the bound in classroom.

29
EXPECTATIONS AND INTEREST OF DECORENA TO HER STUENTS
I don't have a high expectation from them since they are grade 7 students fresh
from elementary. My only expectations from them are that they come to class prepared
and ready to learn, that they actively participate in class discussions and activities, and
that they complete all assignments to the best of their ability. I also expect that they
show respect to their classmates and to me, and that they follow the rules and policies
of the school.
I am aware that each student is different and has unique interests and passions
when it comes to their areas of interest. It is my responsibility as a student teacher to
make an effort to identify these interests and use them to engage and inspire my
students. I think that by including students' interests into my lessons and activities, I
may inspire them to be more involved in their own education and help them understand
the value and importance of what we are discussing.
I also believe that giving students the opportunity to explore and find their own
interests is important, and I encourage them to follow their hobbies and take on
challenges that will help them grow and develop as learners. I want my pupils to leave
my class with not just a solid understanding of the subject, but also a feeling of curiosity
and a desire to continue learning and improving throughout their life.

EXPECTATIONS AND INTEREST OF ESTEFANIE TO HER STUDENTS

I had a hard time because of the set-up of the schedule, there was two Set A
and Set B. Using the asynchronous and synchronous, handling three (3) sections that
are face to face class and one (1) online. I realized that it is fun to teach the students,
especially since they learned a lot from my teaching, and I get their attention about our
topic. Having a good relationship between students and teachers is a strong foundation
of mutual understanding, respect, and trust. I must open the door of good
communication as not all students will show that initiative. I must be willing to
communicate having a sincere attitude towards my students and showing a concern
for their classwork and their lives is important when doing something that related to the
subject. It is important to me that my students, as well as their parents, other teachers,
administrators, and people in the community, see me as someone they can approach,
who will be fair and non-discriminatory.

30
It is my duty to see that all my students are being motivated. They deserve my
time and full attention with regards to their education. I also want to create a classroom
that is a safe learning environment for all. I will present curriculum that involves the
interest of the students and makes relevant to life. I will incorporate themes, projects,
group work, individual work and hands-on learning in order to make children active
learners. I will tie learning into the class discussion to help children become active
member of the society.

EXPECTATIONS AND INTEREST OF ESTELLA’S STUDENTS

It is my hope that my pupils will take what they have learned from me and apply
it in the future. Even if they misbehave, they will still remember and benefit from what I
have taught them to participate in my activities and to their homework. They are special
to me because I have faith in their abilities and know that they can spread their
knowledge and help others. Also, I expected that they would respect not only me but
also all other professors and anybody else from whom they might gain new information,
and that I could agree with them, allowing their knowledge to grow even further because
of what they have learned from me. I believe that our students are the future leader of
the country. Education is very important for an individual success. It can give a big
impact on human opportunity in continuing their life quality. I must say that education
is generally seen as the foundation of society which brings economic wealth, social
prosperity, and political stability.
I believe that there is a common core of knowledge that needs to be transmitted
to every student, the idea of love of learning. I always try to treat people with dignity
and respect, and I expect my students to do so also. I want them to understand the
value of intellectual and moral standards. By educating your heart means having
compassion for everyone, not just friends and family members. When we learn how to
love everyone despite of our differences and we try to reach out even to our greatest
enemies then we have an educated heart. It is easy to feel love towards your family
members but educating your heart to feel this emotion for others takes some practice.
If your mind is educated yet your heart is not then your education is not
complete, and you are still missing out on important knowledge. When we cite from the
history, some of the wisest people were learned individuals with the necessary

31
knowledge who also had an educated heart as well. Even the smartest person in the
world needs an educated heart to have compassion for mankind, and to have
sympathy, respect and love for all.

32
NARRATION OF
OUR
EXPERIENCES

33
THE ORIENTATION AND DEPLOYMENT TO OUR COOPERATING
SCHOOL

ALIMBOYONG EXPERIENCES
Wednesday of September 29, 2022 at 8:30 am, Professor May Cortez
formally deployed and introduced us to our designated cooperating school
which is Tagumpay National high school, all of us are excited because We
know that this experience will be an opportunity for us to learn new skills. After
that, Prof. Cortez introduced us to the Principal of Tagumpay Mrs. Susana
Sacatrapos a Principal IV together with All teachers they gave us a warm
welcome with smile on their faces especially the department head of Filipino,
Mrs. Rachel Pagaduan.
She oriented us first the rules and regulation of school, the DO’S and
DON’T while on the training and then she assigned us to our designated area
and CT’S. I feel proud of myself while going back to my loving school
Tagumpay because way back then, I am one of the learners of this school but
now I am back not as a student but a student teacher. Our first day of
deployment was a great experience.
Lastly, When I met my cooperating teacher which is Mr. Pagaduan, he
discussed about class schedule, that time Tagumpay has limited face to face
learning and he explained to me the system of the class which is per day I need
to teach 1 section but consist of batch 1 and 2, next, he advised me about
mental and physical preparedness while teaching, Lesson planning, classroom
management and formal attire.

DACILLO EXPERIENCES
I live in Quezon City and I studied at Rodriguez Rizal when the time of
deployment came that I will deploy in Tagumpay National High School it’s far
from my home, I thought that I will deploy in Commonwealth High School when
near in my home place because I know of some of my teacher in school and
you don’t need to travel just walk.

34
When the day came of deployment in Tagumpay National High School
I get nervous, it’s new for my eyes that I see in their school, on my mind I ask
myself “what experience will I get here in school?” The past days I really enjoy
stay in Tagumpay National High School very approachable and the students
when they saw me they said “good afternoon ma'am” it’s melting my heart even
though I’m just a student teacher. In staying for 2 months in Tagumpay National
High School I’m so very grateful and it’s worthy that I always travel because I’m
happy that I deployed in Tagumpay National High School I’ve so much
memories from school and they build myself and help to showcase my
personality in teaching.
Sometimes I travel its always traffic in Amlac destination that’s why I late
sometimes, when something happen like I’m late I informed immediately my
cooperating teacher and she understand me but I changed my routine for not
becoming late, when the next day I’m not late because I’m the first early in the
afternoon shift.
In my experiences in Tagumpay National High School is the best that
give student teacher experience. The teacher, utilities and the student that help
me to improved my skill in teaching I will always look back the school, the
memories that I brought to school.

DECOREÑA EXPERIENCES
Our deployment date is September 29, 2022, Thursday. Due to the fact
that today is the day we have all been waiting for, we were all looking forward
to it. The day when we must use the knowledge, we have gained over the last
three (3) years at our beloved university
At 8:00 a.m., our call time. We students teachers showed up in front of
Tagumpay National High School, our appointed location. My other students'
teachers, who are majoring in BSE English, BSE Filipino, BSE Math, and BSE
Social Studies, were already standing in line in front of the entrance to our
cooperating school. Even today, not just me, seemed anxious and enthusiastic.
We all patiently waited Prof. May Cortez's arrival so that we might enter our
cooperating school. Our deployment was supervised by Professor May Cortez.

35
When she finally arrived, we were able to enter the school with our
respected Professor. Along the way, we greeted each member of the teaching
and non-teaching staff a good day. Prof. May requested us to wait while she
talked with the principal in her office about a few things. As we wait, we snap a
few group shots with our fellow students' teachers. After a short while, Prof.
May told us that we might see our collaborating teacher right away. However,
before meeting our cooperating teacher, we met Ma'am Rachel C. Pagaduan,
Mat, the head of the Filipino Department. She went through certain guidelines
for our deployment and reassured us that we could carry it out. She also
advised us to act professionally. After some discussion, I go to Ms. Loren T.
Dela Cerna, who is my cooperating teacher.

FLOQUENCIO, ESTEFANIE EXPERIENCES

I had a hard time because of the set-up of the schedule, there was two
Set A and Set B. Using the asynchronous and synchronous, handling three (3)
sections that are face to face class and one (1) online. I realized that it is fun to
teach the students, especially since they learned a lot from my teaching, and I
get their attention about our topic. Having a good relationship between students
and teachers is a strong foundation of mutual understanding, respect, and trust.
I must open the door of good communication as not all students will show that
initiative. I must be willing to communicate having a sincere attitude towards
my students and showing a concern for their classwork and their lives is
important when doing something that related to the subject. It is important to
me that my students, as well as their parents, other teachers, administrators,
and people in the community, see me as someone they can approach, who will
be fair and non-discriminatory.
It is my duty to see that all my students are being motivated. They deserve
my time and full attention with regards to their education. I also want to create
a classroom that is a safe learning environment for all. I will present curriculum
that involves the interest of the students and makes relevant to life. I will
incorporate themes, projects, group work, individual work and hands-on

36
learning in order to make children active learners. I will tie learning into
the class discussion to help children become active member of the society.

FLOQUENCIO, ESTELLA EXPERIENCES

September 28, 2022, was the day we were deployed to Tagumpay
National High School, led by our Professor May Cortez, who led in our OJT.
We are very grateful because we were recognized by the entire Filipino
department along with their head teacher. In our deployment, we were nervous
and excited to meet our cooperating teacher, who will be our guide in the entire
OJT, so that we can further hone our skills and gain more teaching knowledge,
and we can also share what we have learned with our cooperating teachers.
When I met my cooperating teacher, Ma'am Ellesca A. Yalo, she oriented me
and gave me tips on how to teach the students, and she also gave me
examples of her lessons plan. I observe for 1 week to see the flow of teaching.
After I was oriented by my cooperating teacher, I am already studied the next
topic given to me so that I can easily teach the said topic and lesson to my
students.

OUR PRACTICE
TEACHING
EXPERIENCES

38
ALIMBOYONG TEACHING EXPERIENCES
30th day of September 2022 was my formal starting day of internship,
together with my cooperating teacher, Mr. Pagaduan who has 3 handled class,
At first, he formally introduced me to his first handled class, Grade-10 Boyle,
My first observation to that section is that I was impressed because they are
participative in class, While observing Mr. Wency, I took down notes some
gestures and words that he used in teaching to make him effective teacher
and how he catch his student’s attention. After that class, he tasked me to do
a brief lesson plan to know if I have prior knowledge in lesson planning. Next
after he found out that I already knew some terminologies in lesson plan he let
me delivered it to his third handled class which is Grade-10 Faraday. Grade-
10 Faraday has special place in my heart because they are the first class whom
I experienced my first day of teaching, aside from that My observation to that
class was the same with Grade 10- Boyle, active but Faraday are more effort
and quite class than Boyle While Grade-10 Galilei consists of more intelligent
students among the three sections. They’re most likely have deep thinking and
comprehension about the lesson being tackled.
In my two months of practice teaching, I must say that I brought me stress
and anxiety because of work loads and pressure at the same time. The most
challenging was I don’t have a laptop to used in my everyday teaching and it
pressured me a lot.
There are times that I wanted to give up because honestly I wasn’t
prepared mentally and physically, I thought that I will just disappoint “tatay
Wency” for taking Education course and Filipino major, that’s exactly what I felt.
I over think a lot. I experienced technical problem, and when my day started
with those kind of challenge, It brings me frustration all day but of course My
CT gave me some tips on how to handle that situation, he also explained that
it’s part of teaching, it naturally occurred but what matter is you know how to
discuss the lesson without that power point presentation, In short, The value of
mastery of the topic must be practiced.
As days passed by I’ve learned to adjust, I thought I will never survived
and can make it but thanks God, he didn’t let me loose hope in fact he gave

39
me a positive surroundings and My cooperating teacher never let me down. My
worries and anxiety turns into great opportunity to build myself more
knowledgeable and stronger.
Day by day, I get more excited when teaching because I know that my
students are also excited to learn new lesson with me, although I always find
hardship in creating lesson plan and presentation everyday, it never hindered
me to achieve my goals each day. I remembered one time, out of frustration
and stress, I walked out in my class in Grade-10 Galilei because of their attitude
that day, and I will never forget what my CT told me “ Alam mo gems yun ang
I realized that my actions wasn’t right and I need to practice myself being calm
with those situation.
Mr. Pagaduan was a very hands on and professional, he never failed to
compliment me to boost my confidence and one of his advise that I will always
apply in myself is “ Ang mapapayo ko sayo gems, wag na wag mong babaguhin
ang sarili mo para lang ma-meet yung standard ng ibang CT’S kase may
kaniya kaniya tayong uniqueness eh at ikaw nakikita kong magaling ka.” I am
forever thankful that he let me experienced the best internship journey as a
future educator.
As a conclusion, My internship experiences are the best memories that I
will always nurture because I have learned a lot of lessons in life. My worries
and frustration turned into an opportunity and determination to finish my course
and continue my path as a teacher. How students appreciated my teaching
gave me an opportunity to improve myself to become more effective and quality
educator.
My sleepless nights are validated because I left Tagumpay National high
school with lots of learning and good feedback came from my CT such as “
Maswerte ang mga batang matuturuan mo sa hinaharap” and “ May sense ka
as a teacher, nakikita ko yung potential mo, and “Magaling ka gems alam kong

40
magaling ka” and my students who showed me respect like how they respect
Mr. Pagaduan and their excitement and positivity each day made me realized
to become a better teacher and optimistic everyday in teaching. I will proudly
bring that experience to my loving University, University of Rizal system-
Montalban.

DACILLO TEACHING EXPERIENCES

My dream someday is to become a teacher that’s why I took the
education course, being a teacher has responsibilities that student should learn
from a teacher way back on my childhood days, I always teach my playmates
and I am the teacher of them it’s kind of cool because I teach them but I’m not
good on teaching to them. Going back, when the day is the day of deployment
to other school that I will teach truly well to my students I feel nervous, getting
shaking my hands because this is the day (October 06, 2000) that I will teach
them on a proper way of teaching but on my first teaching, the schedule of
Tagumpay National High School is difficult they have weekly-learning plan
(WLP) according to principal, the weekly-learning plan is within a week another
lesson or new lesson every other day and I need to passed the first week lesson
plan on Monday to my cooperating teacher she needs to criticize my WLP and
need to review and changed of my work if I do wrong, and also the power point
presentation I need to do as well and my mind getting breeze I have so much
worked to do that now I understand why teacher have so much worked.
I guess that my first teaching is epic fail, I don’t have laptop or any
gadgets that I can use in my first class I have cellphone only but cannot
connected on TV in their classroom that’s why I borrowed the flash drive to my
co-student teacher and I saved it my ppt and when I put the flash drive it
connected in TV I’m so happy that it connected but my feelings happy didn’t
get long because my presentation cannot view in TV and I said to my
cooperating teacher and she said “do the traditional teaching” I immediately do
what they said even if I’m not ready since I do not have ppt to flash on TV and
I started the traditional teaching when I’m done on my first class my cooperating
teacher talks to me, and she ask “how it’s feel on your first class?” I answered

41
“ma'am, it’s embarrassing to me, I’m not satisfied on my first class” and she
said “it’s okay we need a plan for your next class.
My cooperating teacher didn’t leave me she help and suggest on how
to flash my ppt on TV I do all my efforts to make my day one of practice
teaching do well but it didn’t happen, when I'm home I think of all plan to make
my ppt flash on TV tomorrow in my class subject I ask my co-student what I’m
gonna do if my ppt can’t see on TV and they suggest saved it by jpeg and I
saved it. In next day I’ll try in TV and it’s really worked that’s why I'm really
happy,I’m enjoying to teach
my students, they happy on my energizer they always cooperate even it’s “pa-
girl” for my boy students when I leave the classroom my heart melt by doing
well of my teaching for my students after that my cooperating teacher
congratulated me by doing great job on second day of practice teaching, days
passed I really enjoy of what I’m doing and it’s feel excitement for me as a
lonely girl and introvert student teacher although it’s challenging by doing
everyday the weekly-learning plan but I passed it on my cooperating teacher
on Monday even though I don’t have enough sleep.
Attend also the lack session of our cooperating teacher to discussed and
explained on how to do the examination on students, it’s enhance myself to
know more about in making exam to students and apply it every time I do the
quiz to my students. My cooperating teacher said to me that starting November
the weekly-learning plan changed to daily-lesson plan according to principal,
daily-lesson plan is every week one lesson only you need to expand the lesson
plan until Thursday, in Friday they have the Reading Comprehension for
students, my cooperating teacher and I always do brainstorm on how to make
expand the lesson plan by week and I agree that when I got home, I watched
YouTube to make some strategies on how to make my lesson very well and
my students understood it. Every night, I so much effort to do my ppt until I
didn’t sleep, it’s exciting for me to do this lesson plan and also to my skill that
I need to expand to prove that I can what teacher do.
My experiences in practice teaching it feels my heart pounding and joyful
every time I met my students in the classroom or even outside they smile and

42
greet me, I am introvert person, I have fear in front of many people, my mouth
get trembling and don’t know what first word I can say although I practice all
my speech or report but when I’m in a front of people myself got inert and don’t
know what to do, however on my first class I feel a bit nervous but when I start
to discussed the lesson my heart so extremely happy, can you imagine of being
introvert and shy person can discussed very well after that I really enjoy
teaching my students for my experience in teaching I can’t agree that it’s not
hard but when you enjoy teach the students you will not feel the difficulty
because of students that listen to you and cooperate in the classroom, I have
a chips that every time my students recited they will have a chips and they
enjoy it also the chips that picture is memes in Facebook.
The noise of the students is unavoidable that you need to handled it and
what tactics you do, I have the tactics that my students will quiet and stop doing
in their desk even it’s not Filipino subject my first tactics is when my hands up
by pissed or close hands that means you need to quiet, stop doing on what
they’re doing and back to the proper seat and the second is shouting the name
section.
My cooperating teacher observed me in (1) week and talks about what
she observed to me and what should I do to improved my skills in teaching, in
next week my cooperating teacher did not observed me she said that feels that
you are truly teacher of my students and I enjoy it I feel that I am the true
teacher of my students I’m very happy that my cooperating teacher very
supportive if I have a problem she help me, she didn’t forget to boost my
confidence before I start my class.

I will not deny that my experiences in practice teaching feels me blessed,

happy to teach my students and make a new lesson to them every time I left
their room, the experience of true teacher was the same of what I feels in (2)
months practice teaching in Tagumpay National High School the (4) section
that I handled is not easy to handled they just cooperate and listen to me they
also benevolent, sometimes we’re having a joke time but when I start to
discussed they will immediately listen to me and changed that I will not gonna

43
joke to them again because I’m serious I’m very proud to myself that my fear
gradually disappearing and also to face my fear when I’m in front of
people/students.
I truly boost my confidence because of my cooperating teacher she
guide me, support, give some advice/suggestions and she give me new
lessons even it’s not Filipino, every Friday I discussed all subjects except
Filipino there is Science, English, Araling Panlipunan, etc., my cooperating
teacher said that as a teacher we need to flexible even in all subject that will
apply and I accept, it’s more challenging but I’m happy to discussed my
knowledge that got expanding for all those subjects that I teach to my students,
the (2) months is not enough for me but I really enjoy bonding my students and
get to know them that’s why my cooperating teacher and students help me to
leave my comfort zone on my negative thoughts.

DECOREÑA TEACHING EXPERIENCES

Being a student’s teacher isn't easy especially if you are not actually a
teacher. There are chances that you may encounter a student that will not
respect you. Students that will think that you and them are in same level
because you are student’s teacher.
Two months of being a student teacher and teaching is a challenging but
rewarding experience. In that time, I have the chance to have a positive
influence on my students and help in their growth.
The ability to get to know your students and see them grow is one of the
most satisfying parts of teaching for two months. Even though you might not
have as much time as you would in a regular school year, you can still witness
your students' progress and success. It's also satisfying to watch those
students who may have struggled in the past start to understand and engage
with the subject matter.
But teaching can sometimes be difficult. It could be more challenging to
meet your students' learning needs if you don't have enough time to get to know
them and understand their specific requirements. Additionally, it could be hard
to work quickly to cover a lot of material in a short period of time.
44
Despite the difficulties, two months of teaching is worth it. It's an
opportunity to influence my students lives and assist them in realizing their full
potential. It really gratifying experience of teaching them and supporting them
to learn and develop their character as a student.

FLOQUENCIO, ESTEFANIE EXPERIENCES

Through the years I have grown to understand the saying, “Patience is
a virtue.” I feel it is a gift to have the patience to work with a large group of
children, whose needs and abilities range at different levels. I need to normalize
the process of learning and ethics of teaching. I will continue to practice these
virtues for me to become a better teacher, humility and patience are indeed
very important for one’s psychological growth.
My role is to give children the tools that cultivate their knowledge. To
accomplish this goal, I will teach to the needs of each child so that all the
learners can feel capable and successful.
Despite of the complicated set-up of New Normal and challenges of
distance learning the teaching process continued. We must admit that the few
months of implementation of this mode is really a challenge to all of us. This
mode of learning is still finding better ways on how to improve our situation.
Using technology through online class and learning, strategy and technique are
the most affected approach of learning. Not all are knowledgeable of using
computers, laptops, and applications through online learning.
I strongly believe that every individual is actively construct and transform
their own knowledge based on their experiences. Education is the one that is
responsible to develop the student’s interests, and abilities that will both
challenge and allow every student to think and grow. Students must be
equipped with knowledge and skills which are needed to participate effectively
as member of society and contribute towards the development of shared values
and common identity.
I believe that our students are the future leader of the country. Education
is very important for an individual success. It can give a big impact on human
opportunity in continuing their life quality. We must say that education is
45
generally seen as the foundation of society which brings economic wealth,
social prosperity, and political stability.
I will tie learning into the class discussion to help children become caring
and active member of society. The application of student-centered learning
method of education which is self-directed activity and collaborative
engagement of learners in different aspect are effective way of learning.
My teaching practice divided in three ways. First, I spent more time
getting to know my students and their prior knowledge and opinion on a
particular topic. Second, I used texts with multiple perspectives, as well as text
generated by students from their experiences. Lastly, my interactions with the
students in the classroom changed from “what” questions to “why” or “how”
questions.
I believe in the power of questions and questioning strategies to cause
thinking. I constantly try to ask questions for which there are no “right” answers.
I constantly work to become a better “questioner” for the effective use of
questions is the most powerful strategy that a teacher must have to help
students learn.

FLOQUENCIO, ESTELLA EXPERIENCES

When I did practice teaching, my experience was that I learned a lot
from my cooperating teacher. After observing my cooperating teacher for 1
week in his teaching, I started to teach in my 1 week of teaching. My
cooperating teacher had many recommendations, such as using only my voice
and flow when teaching because it's my first-time teaching and I'm nervous
because I'm teaching grade 7 in the first week. I'm having a bit of a hard time
because there are a lot of students who don't have to repeat the instructions
so they can understand what to do in my first week of teaching. In my first to
third week of teaching, I was having a bit of a hard time because I was teaching
Set A and Set B, but I was able to handle it because of the help of my
cooperating teacher. After I teach, I am given papers to check and record,
which is fun. I think that every time I teach, my students seem to learn a lot
because they are active in reciting, and they get high scores every time I give

46
a short test. There is one section that is noisy and nasty, but they are active
when I teach, and it's good to teach, especially when you see that your students
are listening and, most of all, they are interested in learning.
In my one (1) month of practice teaching, my cooperating teacher is
contented and proud because all his recommendations and suggestions are
done and I follow them, even though she is often absent. I do it every day so
that my final demo will be deliver good as possible. Thursday is my teaching
day, and Friday is the day to check activities and record before the final demo.
I considered a mixed emotions because in the final demo itself I did a trial
demo. When my final demo was over, I was thankful to the Lord because even
though it was a difficult task, I was able to handle it and I was successful in my
final demo. I was happy with my students, which was the final demo group of
Grade 7 Benevolent, because they showed their skills related in our lesson,
they learned a lot and they became active, especially in group work, and they
were also active in reciting.
As a student teacher, practice teaching is very important because your
teaching skills will be honed and you will have more knowledge in teaching and
you will learn how to teach students and you will get their hearts on how you
can give them more knowledge that they can do it and take them wherever they
go even though practices teaching is difficult but you learn a lot and you can
share it with your students. I am super thankful because in my practices
teaching, I learned a lot that I can use when I am a full-time teacher in the next
chapter of my life that I will not let my students learn anything, but I will give
them a lot of knowledge so that they can be successful in their journey and
have a good job so that they do not experience the difficult life of not graduating
because it is difficult when there is no good job. I am hopeful because young
people in a town where as teachers, let's give them a good future and give
them new knowledge so that they do not experience the difficult life.

47
FINAL TEACHING DEMONSTRATION

ALIMBOYONG FINAL TEACHING DEMONSTRATION

On the 28th day of November 2022 10:30 in the moring was the most
awaited day of my life as a student teacher because finally my final
demonstration came. This was the day that I was being judged by my
Supervising professor Mr. Joselito G. Navarro together with my cooperating
teacher Mr. Wilfredo T. Pagaduan Jr. With other observers. Before that day
happened, I had one week preparation for doing lesson plan about my chosen
topic which is “Tula: Ang Aking pag-ibig” and One day pre demonstration
teaching. That was quiet challenging for me because my chosen topic is deep
and hard but with the help of my hands on CT, I made it successfully. I also
chose Grade-10 Faraday as my students on my final demonstration because
As what I always say, they are my first handled class when I started my
teaching in Tagumpay, and I wanted them to be my last students on my final
demonstration, aside from that I felt comfortable with them maybe because of
the bond We had together although Boyle and Galilei are also and active in
my class. Lastly, I finished my final demonstration with smile on my face and
heart because I know that I made my CT proud and Faraday did not let me
leave their class disappointed, they all made their part and it gave me strength
to do my best part. There are some problems with my final demonstration such
as I forgot the localization before the “Pagsusuri ng Tula” and the flying manila
paper because of poor scotch tape but all in all. I successfully made my final
demonstration done thanks to my love ones for the support financially and
emotionally and to my students who made their best to support me lastly to my
co- student teachers and CT who helped and supported me since day 1.

DACILLO FINAL TEACHING DEMONSTRATION

Before the final demo, my cooperating teacher and I have so much
preparation even though my cooperating teacher busy and so much work
papers to do but she took care of me first in my final demo. When we have the
final topic for my demo, we’re having a discussion and brainstorming of my
48
cooperating teacher to make my final demo pleasant. My cooperating teacher
said that I won’t make a lesson plan but ppt, she said that gift for me for all that
I teach every Friday to all different subject when I got home, I make my ppt on
my final demo and I need to submit to my cooperating teacher to check if I need
to change my ppt. I have so much mistake in my ppt and need to change so I
immediately make it change because I want to make my ppt perfect before I
discussed to my student.
When I have my final ppt my cooperating said that before the final demo
I will make a pre-demo to observe my how I discussed and if need to change
my strategy of teaching, when I announce to my student(Grade-9 Mercury) that
I chose their section in my final demo they super joyful at first I want to choose
the Mercury among my (2) section, I know that they’re stubborn, vociferous but
they excellent so much some student have a talent and they hidden but when
I discussed to them some of my student that didn’t recited, when I call their
name they automatically stand and recited, my cooperating teacher amaze me
because some of their student that didn’t recited they saw that their recited
when I teach to them. As the day of my final demonstration approaches, I
continued my pre-demo for all my student even in my (2) section that I need to
practiced my teaching to them and my cooperating teacher always observed
me on my pre-demo.
This is it! My final demo came I know that I can but I get nervous super
nervous but my cooperating teacher calmed me by their motivational words,
when my co-student teacher done to their final demo I feel nervous again but
I’m excited that I definitely do this my final demonstration by helped of my
cooperating teacher on other hand I heard on my co-student teacher that we
don’t have an observer from URS School it feels sad for me because this is the
day the unforgettable moments to me as a student teacher but the demo must
go on even we don’t have an observer but the teacher of Filipino in Tagumpay
National High School will be observer to us. Before my time in final demo my
cooperating teacher talked me and she said that, “you can do it” “feels that we
are not in the room and your student only and you” my cooperating teacher

49
didn’t forget me to cheer-up and give some motivational words it helped me to
boost my confidence in my final demo.

It’s my turn in my final demonstration, I came early in classroom of my student

Mercury and also my cooperating teacher first need to clean the room before I
start my demonstration, and when Ma’am Mapa came as my observer and my
teacher signal me that I can start. It starts in praying after that I called the
secretary and I ask “who are the absent today” before I start my lesson, I
usually do the “balik-aral” if my student remember the lesson yesterday.
I started my discussion to my student with my new lessons I keep going
my discussion although I feel nervous but I still continued to finish this, in the
midst of my teaching they are technical problem but the laptop of my
cooperating teacher is my backup and my discussion continued until I finished
in well-done. After I discussed we took the pictured of my cooperating teacher
and my observer for the memories that I’ve done well, my cooperating teacher
said that after I cleaned the visual aids that I used in my teaching demonstration
I will go to faculty room of my cooperating teacher and when I went to faculty
room she congratulated me, we cried I know it’s because tears of joy and I did
my best to make my demonstration well-done she said that ‘good job even
though we have a technical problem but I continued my discussion also my
observer congratulated me in faculty room, we have so much talked with my
cooperating teacher and we’re super happy because all of efforts that we do
the flow of my teaching was excellent until the end.
In conclusion, my feels so high that I survived my demonstration even we
don’t have observer from URS School but it’s okay the Filipino department has
plan to have observer to us. I’m super happy also my student that they
congratulated me of become a well-done in practicing demonstration, my
cooperating teacher said that tell to my parents about my final demonstration
that I succeed, it’s worth it for all my sacrifices/efforts that I do and didn’t have
a enough sleep. I will pursue my dreams and my cooperating teacher believed
me that I will be a good teacher someday the new generations of a teacher, my
unforgettable memories are my practicing final demonstration it’s build myself

50
confidence, to boost and heard some motivational words that I will relay to my
future by the helped of my cooperating she helped me to improve of my skills
that hidden and she believed me that I know that I can the teach-well to all my
students. Well, I want to say that my cooperating teacher is the best.

DECOREÑA FINAL TEACHING DEMONSTRATION

My final demonstration was held on November 28, 2022, at 1:20 in the
afternoon. Thanks to the assistance of my devoted cooperating teacher and
my SSC students in the 7th grade, my final demo was a success. A week before
my final demonstration, Ms. Loren, my cooperating teacher, gave me some
reminders and advice on proper execution of teaching. She assisted me in
creating my teaching materials, including providing everything for printing. She
taught me a lot of things, including how to impress the observer who will be
watching my demonstration, and she offered me a lot of ideas—and when I say
a lot, I mean a lot. She kept telling me, "You can do it!" and "I noticed your
potential and performance in the last two months, and I know you can do it!"
"It's okay to feel nervous during the final demonstration; just take a big breath,
relax, and do your best." Although I'm not nervous at all, I'm just excited. The
time has finally come! Everything was in order on the day of my final
demonstration, including my beloved students in grades 7–SSC and my
instructional materials. We were all excited to begin the demo, but before we
started, I told my students to act normally because it was obvious from their
expressions that they were much more nervous than I am. To get rid of their
nervousness, I told them to relax, smile, enjoy and participate. I'm overjoyed
that my students were so supportive and cooperative with me throughout the
process. My final presentation went very well. Thanks to everyone who helped
me along the way during my internship, especially my cooperating teacher, Ms.
Loren T. Dela Cerna.

FLOQUENCIO, ESTEFFANIE FINAL TEACHING DEMONSTRATION

I was really prepared for the day of my Final Demonstration. I prepared
everything that I need to use. My CT said he was nervous, because I didn't do

51
a trial demo in the classrooms because the final is only one day away. I did my
demo but it was time my Lesson Plan was not finished yet but the day of my
finale Demonstration everything was fine I told myself I could and I will pass my
finale Demo and that's what I did I wasn't nervous in front and I did everything
of my best and the many participating students, so my CT was surprised, he
said he didn't expect that I did that because he thought I couldn't do that, so
that's why my CT was happy with me, of course I'm also proud of myself
because I did my best and I also proved in my CT that I can do it and the
comments of those who observed me were also good so I passed my final
Demonstration so I thank the lord for letting me go I'm first to the end even if
there are people who don't believe in your ability as long as you keep going and
don't give up always fighting.

FLOQUENCIO, ESTELLA FINAL TEACHING DEMONSTRATION

November 29, 2022, this is the day that I've been waiting for. I'm thrilled
but at the same time I feel nervous. That day, after my dry run there's so many
things that I need to work out like, I forgot to say some parts and I didn't practice
them, especially the group activities. Because of the short time I was not taught
what is the proper way to disseminate activities to learners. The day has come,
I'm so excited and nervous but I told myself that I can do it. I had a technical
problem with the television, but I fixed it right away. When my final demo started,
I saw the smile on my CT's face and Sir Navarro as the observer that day.

RECOMMENDATIONS

ALIMBOYONG RECOMMENDATIONS
One of my problems encountered in teaching was using transitions, My
CT always reminding me about it because while delivering my lesson, he
observed that I find difficulties in transitioning such as connecting the
“pagganyak” to the next part of the lesson plan up to the main topic, that was
the first thing that I needed to master in teaching because in order to have
organized flow of discussion, I must practice the right transitioning of
connecting ideas.

DACILLO RECOMMENDATIONS
Here are some my recommendations for teaching demonstrations during an
internship:
1. Plan your lesson/Start preparing lesson plan: Before the final demo,
make sure that all your materials are ready and also yourself always
prepared in the day of final demonstration teaching.
2. Engage your students: Don't just lecture to the students; demonstrate
that you can do more by engaging them in active learning. Get the
students interested, involved, and positively interacting with you and one
another.
3. Prepare instructional materials: Prepare the materials you'll need for
your lesson using your lesson plan as a guide. We've arrived in the 21st
century. Prepare something using technology, but that doesn't mean
you won't use your creativity in preparing other materials besides
PowerPoint presentations, slides, and so on. In short, you can use both
traditional and modern instructional materials simultaneously. You must
keep the students in mind when doing so. What learning resources are
more effective for them? At last, YOU as the teacher are the best
instructional material. No matter how inventive you are with the materials
you have prepared, these are only aids, not replacements.

53
4. Master your lessons/practice: Because you are the most important
person in your teaching, you must be well-versed in all aspects of your
topic/lesson. This is your most powerful weapon when things do not go
as planned. Furthermore, it is advantageous for a teacher to not use a
cue or index card when delivering instruction. Also, before the final demo
make have a practice all your lesson plan to make well-done.
5. Be passionate: It is not an alibi or an excuse to not consider teaching as
your first love; you chose it, and you should have learned to love it! This
is why self-motivation has been emphasized. Showing passion is a
difficult task for you as a teacher, so try to practice having it. How?
Doing, genuinely smile, show enthusiasm, love what you do, etc.
6. Be confident but not too confident: "You cannot teach what you do not
understand. You can't give what you don't have." Don't try to impress
because you'll exaggerate things; just do your best.
7. Breathe: Whether you genuinely think you have succeeded or not
breathe, cheer up, and smile! Congratulations on a job well done. It is
more important to do your best than to be the best. Finally, don't forget
to thank Him.

DECOREÑA RECOMMENDATIONS
Here are some my recommendations for teaching demonstrations
during an internship:

1. Plan and prepare thoroughly: Make sure you have a clear lesson plan
and all necessary materials ready beforehand. This will help you feel
more confident and ensure that the demonstration goes smoothly.
2. Engage your students: Try to make the demonstration interactive and
engaging for your students. This could involve asking questions, giving
hands-on activities, or using visual aids.
3. Use clear and concise language: Make sure to speak clearly and use
simple language that is easy for your learners to understand. Avoid using
jargon or technical terms unless necessary.

54
4. Use examples to illustrate your points: Using examples can help make
your points more relatable and easier to understand.
5. Practice beforehand: It's a good idea to practice your demonstration
beforehand to get comfortable with the material and make sure you feel
confident delivering it.
6. Stay organized: Keep your teaching well-organized and stay on track with
your lesson plan.
7. Have a clear instruction: it's better to have a clear instruction so that your
learners can easily understand the directions. Don't expect a clear
answer if your instructions aren't clear.
8. Be flexible: Be prepared to adapt to the needs and interests of your
audience. If you sense that they are struggling with a concept, try to
explain it in a different way or give more examples.
9. Be confident: While it's natural to feel nervous, try to project confidence
and enthusiasm during your demonstration. This will help engage your
audience and make the experience more enjoyable for everyone.

FLOQUENCIO, ESTEFANIE RECOMMENDATIONS

My Cooperating Teacher's recommendation is to be strong in the
challenges of life and she added that I was improved a lot in teaching. She
recommended to continue my teaching career to discover more. I need to
attend seminars, trainings and enroll to the graduate school after my
bachelor’s degree.
I believe that education is a never-ending process. It doesn’t stop after
earning a degree. Through continuing education, career minded individuals
can constantly improve their skills and become more proficient on their job.
It is important for school administrators to encourage teachers to pursue the
best learning outcomes foe their student but also to be more effective and
satisfied in various aspects of their work. Students expect teachers to be
subject experts for the topics they teach. This means teachers should be
able to answer any questions a student throws their way. Professional and
personal growth programs can able teachers to expand their knowledge

55
base in different subject areas. The more professional development a
teacher undergoes, the more knowledge and insight gains.

FLOQUENCIO, ESTELLA RECOMMENDATIONS

One of the problems in my teaching is creating hots questions
because when I do host questions, they are deep, some of my students have
difficulty answering my test questions, considering that they are in grade 7.
I need to design the test questions in a level of grade 7 students so that my
students can answer the test questions related to the topic. My cooperating
teacher provide some techniques on how to create a hots question related
to the grade level, so that they can answer more easily.
I strongly agree that educators do not simply teach students
information and expect them to memorize it and get perfect scores on tests.
Instead, they have their students engage in active hands-on learning
through projects, experiments, and collaboration with peers. In this way,
students can pursue topics and subjects they are passionate about.
Applying and using progressive education students are more likely develop
a love of education and become lifelong learners. Students use critical
thinking skills outside the classroom as they evaluate and reevaluate their
perspectives on real-world topics and issues.

REFLECTIONS
ALIMBOYONG REFLECTIONS

Being a teacher is a combination of passion and hard work it takes time to

perfect your lesson and being effective teacher, unpreparedness has no place
because a teacher must be prepared all the time, from readiness of instructional
materials, thinking solutions about the possible technical error, and most importantly
the mastery of the topic. A teacher should know the topic well even without a hand
notes. On the other hand, I remembered what my CT said, there are 2 reasons why
your students didn’t pay attention to your class, first was your unpreparedness and
second the relationship you build with your students. From that I have learned that
aside from preparedness, I need to practice on how to build a relationship with my
students such as making interaction activities that let them socialized with their
classmates, providing instructional materials and activities that can catch their interest
and multiple intelligence aside from that promoting sense of belonging and gender
sensitivity is also important to build strong bond with them.

DACILLO REFLECTIONS

As a student teacher, I’ve so much realized and experiences in teaching

it has great opportunity to be experience the teaching as my education
professions. When I started the practicing teacher, I know that I will feel the
challenges and some excitement every day, It helped me to learn some more
and to grow myself also in teaching.
It’s pleasured that we have the bond of my student that build in
classroom or even in the outside, I’ll make sure that will get some
learn/knowledge to me that will help in the future of my students, that is my
best awards as being student teacher to them of helping each other. It's
encouraging to see students' progress and development. It's also rewarding to
be able to share my enthusiasm for learning with my students and to see them
develop a similar enthusiasm.
In addition, I believed that the being a student teacher need to be flexible
of all aspects even in other subjects. More confident and also how to
57
communicated in good manners of all in the school. In some reason there are
struggling that may feel, time management it’s difficult but this is experience
that may have experience and need plan for the future I knew that am I going
to do.
At last, despite the challenges and struggling that I’ve experience I know
that this is the best because it gives me an idea and helped me to boost and
learned some new knowledge for some people that guided me to start my
journey as a student teacher.

DECOREÑA REFLECTIONS
As a student teacher, I have come to realize that teaching is both a
challenging and rewarding profession. Every day brings new challenges and
opportunities to learn and grow, both personally and professionally.
One of the most rewarding aspects of teaching is the opportunity to make a
positive impact on the lives of my students. Whether it's helping a struggling
student understand a difficult concept or watching a student discover a new
passion, it's gratifying to see the progress and development that students
make. It's also fulfilling to be able to share my love of learning with my students
and to see them develop a love for learning as well.
However, teaching can also be challenging. It can be difficult to engage
all students, and it can be frustrating when students don't seem to be making
progress or are resistant to learning. It can also be stressful to balance the
demands of lesson planning, grading, and meeting the needs of students with
the demands of personal and professional life.
Despite the challenges, I believe that teaching is a noble profession that
requires dedication, hard work, and a willingness to continuously learn and
grow. I am grateful for the opportunity to be a student teacher in short period of
time and to make a difference in the lives of my students.

FLOQUENCIO, ESTEFANIE REFLECTIONS

I am thankful because I have experience teaching in actual class set-up.
Which has sharpened my teaching and I have also learned a lot that should be
58
applied to teaching career. Teachers are given high regard in society for the
multiple roles they perform aside from teaching. They have emotional, social,
spiritual, physical, and economic needs but many time, their call to duty make
them set aside their individual needs. Teachers possess various skills and
talents they can use and share as they perform their teaching tasks. In terms of
skills, they used their brain to always think critically and creatively. They used
their ears to listen students’ ideas and concerns. The most important thing is
they used their mouth to speak the truth, discuss knowledge and give advice to
the student.
I always believe that the life of a teacher is neither confined in the four
corners of the classroom nor limited inside the classroom. They take leadership
in their communities related to the education and welfare of the children and
cultural development. They also provide technical support and professional
assistance in the communities where they belong. To illustrate these, they
support free and honest elections, they help people understand the effects of
irresponsible use of resources and they advocate values formative in the
community.

FLOQUENCIO, ESTELLA REFLECTIONS

In teaching, the teacher must be ready to teach, have studied the lesson,
completed the teaching materials, and had different strategies for teaching. The
students should be encouraged to listen and be active in the recitation so that
the classroom becomes lively, and above all, the teacher should have a
prepared question that fits the lesson to be taught so that the students can more
easily answer the question that will be given because the teacher who has
teaching methods will improve every student and they will have an interest in
learning. Through continuing education, career minded individuals can
constantly improve their skills and become more proficient on their job. It is
important for school administrators to encourage teachers to pursue the best
learning outcomes foe their student but also to be more effective and satisfied
in various aspects of their work. Students expect teachers to be subject experts
for the topics they teach. This means teachers should be able to answer any

59
questions a student throws their way. Professional and personal growth
programs can able teachers to expand their knowledge base in different subject
areas. The more professional development a teacher undergoes, the more
knowledge and insight gains.

INSTRUCTIONAL
MATERIALS

149
150
ALIMBOYONG INTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS
Planning instructional materials was a challenge for me because I need
to consider my student’s level of understanding so I must use simple and catchy
instructional materials. Usually, I applied power point presentations because I
noticed that my students are more attentive when they saw something colorful
on their TV screen, I also use white board when there are times that I need to
give examples that make them understand the topic easily by letting them apply
what they have understood, for example finding the “Panaguri at paksa in the
sentence, for that I let them identify it by underlining the correct answer.
Lastly, I used manila paper or visual aid for activities such as quizzes and
instructions so that they can comprehend the topic easily and to avoid saying
“ma’am pakibalik po sa previous slide” and for that, the flow of the discussion
will be continuous.
In my conclusion, Using the right instructional materials for learners are
important because it serve as guide for learners to understand the lesson and
help them find their multiple intelligence and as a teacher, we must always
consider our students type of learning and for that We are able to build a
stronger and healthy relationship towards our student.

FLOQUENCIO, ESTEFANIE INSTRUTIONAL MATERIALS
I use in teaching a power point presentation, online quiz applications and
visual aids that's wha Instructional materials like power point presentation,
online quiz application and visual aids related to the topic. It means to learn
using different kinds of materials for different purposes and how to decide which
kinds of learning are most necessary in different contexts.
The teachers need to know about curriculum resources and technologies
to connect their student with sources of information and knowledge that allows
them to explore ideas, acquire and synthesize information.
The curriculum identifies the learning outcomes, standards, and core
competencies that students must demonstrate before advancing to the next
level. Its able students to develop transferable skills in the areas of learning
that involve group projects, teamwork, critical thinking and problem-solving as
well as leadership roles in the teaching and learning process.

FLOQUENCIO, ESTELLA INSTRUTIONAL MATERIALS

Maam Ellesca told me because every classroom in TNHS has its own
television. But sometimes I use a marker for the white board and manila paper
for an activity before our lesson starts, and when making my PowerPoint, I also
put videos related to my lesson to be taught. Instruction materials are effective
in teaching in the classroom because they are a way to encourage each student
to listen and gain more knowledge on each topic. Learning with the technology
means focusing on how the technology can be the means to learning across
the curriculum. It includes, presentation, demonstration, and the manipulation
of data using productivity tools; use of curriculum-specific application types
such as educational games, drill, and practice; simulations, tutorials, virtual
laboratories, visualizations and graphical representations of abstract concepts,
musical composition, and expert systems; and use of information and
resources online such as encyclopedia, interactive maps and electronic
journals, and other references.

154
Instructional materials are important because they ease the
teachers' work. The time you could have spent explaining is saved, and students learn
from known too unknown. As much as planning is important for a teacher to conduct
a class, the instructional material it contains for the learners becomes part of the
guidance tool package, helping to strengthen the learning process.

The purpose of instructional materials is the same as everything else

related to instruction: the design of the instruction, the methods employed by the
teacher, the facilities in which the instruction occurs to facilitate learning. If the
materials being used don’t do that, replace them, or just get rid of them. That which
does not enhance learning is in danger of retarding it.

Avoiding a Rush to Judgement: Teacher Evaluation and Teacher

Quality By: Thomas Toch and Robert Rothman

The troubled state of teacher evaluation is a glaring and largely

neglected problem in public education, one with consequences that
extend far beyond the current debate over performance pay. Because
teacher evaluations are at the center of the educational enterprise —
the quality of teaching in the nation's classrooms — they are a
potentially powerful lever of teacher and school improvement. But that
potential is being squandered throughout public education, an
enterprise that spends $400 billion annually on salaries and benefits.

The task of building better evaluation systems is as difficult as it

is important. Many hurdles stand in the way of rating teachers fairly on
the basis of their students' achievement, the solution favored by many
education experts today. And it's increasingly clear that it's not enough
merely to create more defensible systems for rewarding or removing
teachers. Teacher evaluations pay much larger dividends when they
also play a role in improving teaching.

This article explores the causes and consequences of the crisis

in teacher evaluation. And it examines a number of national, state, and
local evaluation systems that point to a way out of the evaluation
morass. Together, they demonstrate that it's possible to evaluate
teachers in much more productive ways than most public schools do
today.

Synopsis:

This reading describes better methods to evaluating teachers

opposed to the typical "Drive-By" standard. For example,
comprehensive evaluation systems measure teachers' instruction in
ways that promote improvement in teaching. Also, having teachers go
through multiple evaluations by different people has proven to be
effective.

Article 2

Building Parent-Teacher
Relationships By: American
Federation of Teachers

Positive parent-school communications benefit parents. The

manner in which schools communicate and interact with parents
affects the extent and quality of parents' home involvement with their
children's learning. For example, schools that communicate bad news
about student performance more often than recognizing students'
excellence will discourage parent involvement by making parents feel
they cannot effectively help their children.

Parents also benefit from being involved in their children's

education by getting ideas from school on how to help and support
their children, and by learning more about the school's academic
program and how it works. Perhaps most important, parents benefit by
becoming more confident about the value of their school involvement.
Parents develop a greater appreciation for the important role they play
in their children’s education.

214
When communicating with parents, consider your remarks in
relation to the three categories that influence how parents participate.
For example, are you communicating about:

1. Classroom learning activities?

2. The child’s accomplishments?

3. How the parents can help at home with their child’s learning?

Synopsis:

This benefits everyone involved; Students, teachers, and

parents. These relationships are built by meetings, emails, and phone
calls. This helps the parents know how to assist their children
academically, and it also shows their children's success is important
to his/her teacher.

In My Students'
Shoes By:
Heather Wall

As a reading specialist at an elementary school, I work with many

children who experience difficulty with reading. While there are
obvious celebrations during the year when students make great

215
progress, there are also many frustrating periods as well, when we, as
teachers, struggle to understand why our students aren't reading.
Recently, I had an experience which allowed me a unique glimpse into
what goes on in the mind of a struggling reader.

Earlier this summer I received a bad concussion while riding my

bike. One dramatic result of my concussion was that I lost all short term
(and some long term) memory for a period of days. The days before
and after the accident seemed to melt into a blur as the world rushed
on around me.

People seemed to be talking extremely quickly, and I struggled to keep

up with conversations. I had difficulty making the simplest inferences;
unable, even, to connect pronouns with their respective nouns. Jokes
were not funny, and I was oblivious of the worried glances, the body
language, of those around me.

Once I was on the mend, I began trying to read the newspaper

and uneasily realized that I couldn't comprehend any of what I read. I
could decode the words, but couldn't understand beyond the phrase
level. As I read, the words didn't evoke images. They were simply words
run past my eyes, and I suddenly realized that this is how my students
read.

As I envision it, a confident reader skims a newspaper article,

nodding at the familiar parts, grumbling at the controversial parts.
Each sentence stacks upon the previous one, like a carefully balanced
group of Legos. By the time the reader is finished with the article, the
Legos have combined to form a recognizable shape - the gist of the
article.

I, on the other hand, was reading each sentence slowly, then

carefully setting it aside. The words rang no bells, brought forth no
pictures, they were simply words. By the time I was through with the

216
article, I had a table full of Lego pieces carefully separated from each
other. I had built nothing.

My short- and long-term memory problems didn't allow me to

dredge up my background knowledge, and I didn't have the mental
strength to compile the information as I was reading.

Fortunately, I'm reading much better now, though I fatigue easily.

But I'm also left with a much clearer picture of what struggling readers
are going through. Background knowledge is critical!

If someone had attempted to tutor me while in my weakened

state, they probably would have put the article aside and first talked at
length with me about the topic. THEN we could have read the article,
stopping after each sentence at first, to talk about how what I was
reading related to what I already knew. It would have helped to draw a
visual representation of what I was reading using a graphic organizer,
such as a web, to show how the information was inter- connected.
Though this is not the preferable path to an epiphany, it has been an
interesting one. Fortunately, most teachers will not have to undergo
the task of recovering from a head injury. But for me, the experience
was insightful.

I am just so grateful that this is a temporary condition. Imagine

if I was forever doomed to be unable to comprehend what I read! And
then I remember that there are so many children out there for whom
reading is exactly this confusing. We must reach them before they give
up.

Synopsis:

This is a story of a teacher who suffered a head injury, and she

was not able to comprehend what she read. She states that this is the

217
same struggle some students go through every day. It is important that
teachers do not get frustrated, but we need to reach out to every
student because we could not comprehend the frustration, they may
be dealing with themselves.

Multiple
Intelligences
By: Howard
Gardner

Howard Gardner of Harvard has identified seven distinct

intelligences. This theory has emerged from recent cognitive research
and "documents the
extenttowhichstudentspossessdifferentkindsofmindsandthereforelear
n, remember, perform, and understand in different ways," according to
Gardner (1991). According to this theory, "we are all able to know the
world through language, logical-mathematical analysis, spatial
representation, musical thinking, the use of the body to solve problems
or to make things, an understanding of other individuals, and an
understanding of ourselves. Where individuals differ is in the strength
of these intelligences - the so-called profile of intelligences -and in the
ways in which such intelligences are invoked and combined to carry
out different tasks, solve diverse problems, and progress in various
domains."

Gardner says that these differences "challenge an educational

system that assumes that everyone can learn the same materials in the
same way and that a uniform, universal measure suffices to test
student learning. Indeed, as currently constituted, our educational

218
system is heavily biased toward linguistic modes of instruction and
assessment and, to a somewhat lesser degree, toward logical-
quantitative modes as well." Gardner argues that "a contrasting set of
assumptions is more likely to be educationally effective. Students learn
in ways that are identifiably distinctive. The broad spectrum of
students - and perhaps the society as a whole - would be better served
if disciplines could be presented in a numbers of ways and learning
could be assessed through a variety of means." The learning styles are
as follows:

4. Visual-Spatial - think in terms of physical space, as do architects

and sailors. Very aware of their environments. They like to
draw, do jigsaw puzzles, read maps, and daydream. They can
be taught through drawings,
verbalandphysicalimagery.Toolsincludemodels,graphics,cha
rts, photographs, drawings, 3-D modeling, video,
videoconferencing, television, multimedia, texts
withpictures/charts/graphs.

5. Bodily-kinesthetic-usethebodyeffectively,likeadancerorasurgeon.

Keen sense of body awareness. They like movement, making

things, touching. They communicate well through body
language and be taught through physical activity, hands-on
learning, acting out, role playing. Tools include equipment and
real objects.

6. Musical - show sensitivity to rhythm and sound. They love

music, but they are also sensitive to sounds in their
environments. They may study better with music in the
background. They can be taught by turning lessons into lyrics,
speaking rhythmically, and tapping out time. Tools include

219
musical instruments, music, radio, stereo, CD-ROM,
multimedia.

7. Interpersonal - understanding, interacting with others. These

students learn through interaction. They have many friends,
empathy for others, street smarts. They can be taught through
group activities, seminars, and dialogues. Tools include the
telephone, audio conferencing, time and attention from the
instructor, video conferencing, writing, computer
conferencing-mail.

8. Intrapersonal - understanding one's own interests, goals. These

learners tend to shy away from others. They're in tune with
their inner feelings; they have wisdom, intuition and
motivation, as well as a strong will, confidence and opinions.
They can be taught through in dependent study and
introspection. Tools include books, creative materials, diaries,
privacy and time. They are the most independent of the
learners.

9. Linguistic - using words effectively. These learners have highly

developed auditory skills and often think in words. They like
reading, playing word games, making up poetry or stories.
They can be taught by encouraging them to say and see
words, read books together. Tools include computers, games,
multimedia, books, tape recorders, and lecture.

10. Logical - Mathematical - reasoning, calculating. Think

conceptually, abstractly and are able to see and explore
patterns and relationships. They like to experiment, solve
puzzles, and ask cosmic questions. They can be taught
through logic games, investigations, and mysteries. They
need to learn and form concepts before they can deal with
details.

220
At first, it may seem impossible to teach to all learning styles.
However, as we move into using a mix of media or multimedia, it
becomes easier. As we understand learning styles, it becomes
apparent why multimedia appeals to learners and why a mix of media
is more effective. It satisfies the many types of learning preferences
that one person may embody or that a class embodies. A review of the
literature shows that a variety of decisions must be made when
choosing media that is appropriate to learning style.

11. Visuals: Visual media help students acquire concrete concepts,

such as object identification, spatial relationship, or motor
skills where words alone are inefficient.

12. Printed words: There is disagreement about audio's superiority

to print for affective objectives; several models do not
recommend verbal sound if it is not part of the task to be
learned.

13. Sound: A distinction is drawn between verbal sound and non-

verbal sound such as music. Sound media are necessary to
present a stimulus for recall or sound recognition. Audio
narration is recommended for poor readers.

14. Motion: Models force decisions among still, limited movement,

and full movement visuals. Motion is used to depict human
performance so that learners can copy the movement. Several
models assert that motion may be unnecessary and provides
decision aid questions based upon objectives. Visual media
which portray motion are best to show psychomotor or
cognitive domain expectations by showing the skill as a
model against which students can measure their
performance.

15. Color: Decisions on color display are required if an object's color

is relevant to what is being learned.

221
16. Realia: are tangible, real objects which are not models and are
useful to teach motor and cognitive skills involving unfamiliar
objects. Realia are appropriate for use with individuals or
groups and may be situation based. Realia may be used to
present information realistically but it may be equally
important that the presentation corresponds with the way
learners represent information internally.

17. Instructional Setting: Design should cover whether the materials

are to be used in a home or instructional setting and consider
the size what is to be learned. Print instruction should be
delivered in an individualized mode which allows the learner
to set the learning pace. The ability to provide corrective
feedback for individual learners is important but any medium
can provide corrective feedback by stating the correct answer
to allow comparison of the two answers.

18. Learner Characteristics: Most models consider learner

characteristics as media may be differentially effective for
different learners. Although research has had limited success
in identifying the media most suitable for types of learners
several models are based on this method.

19. Reading ability: Pictures facilitate learning for poor readers who
benefit more from speaking than from writing because they
understand spoken words; self-directed good readers can
control the pace; and print allows easier review.

20. Categories of Learning Outcomes: Categories ranged from three

to eleven and most include some or all of Gagne's (1977)
learning categories; intellectual skills, verbal information,
motor skills, attitudes, and cognitive strategies. Several
models suggest a procedure which categorizes learning
outcomes, plans instructional events to teach objectives,

222
identifies the type of stimuli to present events, and media
capable of presenting the stimuli.

21. Events of Instruction: The external events which support internal

learning processes are called events of instruction. The
events of instruction are planned before selecting the media
to present it.

22. Performance: Many models discuss eliciting performance where

the student practices the task which sets the stage for
reinforcement. Several models indicate that the elicited
performance should be categorized by type; overt, covert,
motor, verbal, constructed, and select. Media should be
selected which is best able to elicit these responses and the
response frequency. One model advocates a behavioral
approach so that media is chosen to elicit responses for
practice. To provide feedback about the student's response,
an interactive medium might be chosen, but any medium can
provide feedback. Learner characteristics such as error
proneness and anxiety should influence media selection.

23. Testing which traditionally is accomplished through print, may

be handled by electronic media. Media are better able to
assess learners' visual skills than are print media and can be
used to assess learner performance in realistic situations.
