Subject: Request for Attendance Accommodation due to Illness

Dear Sir,

I hope this message finds you in good health. I am writing to formally request your
understanding regarding my recent absence from your class due to illness. Unfortunately, I
suffered from a severe cold and liver problems, which necessitated my hospitalization from
03.07.2023 to 07.07.2023. I was subsequently advised by my doctor to observe a month of
bed rest to ensure a full recovery. Consequently, I was unable to attend certain classes,
resulting in missed lectures and tests.

The university's regulations stipulate a minimum attendance requirement of 70% for students
to be eligible for mid-term examinations. Regrettably, my illness prevented me from meeting
this attendance threshold.

I humbly request your consideration in this matter, seeking necessary arrangements that
would enable me to fulfill the required attendance percentage and thus qualify to sit for the
mid-term exam. I assure you of my commitment to adhering to the university's standards and
procedures as I work towards a seamless reintegration into the academic environment.

I genuinely appreciate your understanding and your consideration of my situation. Your

support plays a critical role in my successful return to my studies and my pursuit of academic
