This document provides instructions for a Revit lab assignment on conceptual masses. It instructs students to start a new "Conceptual Mass" file template and then draw six different volumetric forms: 1) an extrusion, 2) a revolved form, 3) a sweep, 4) a loft, 5) a swept blend, and 6) voids and cuts. Videos are provided for each step. Students are challenged to generate additional volumes on their own and a solution is provided.

• Start by creating a new file « Conceptual Mass».
If "ProgramData" does not appear, do the following:
• In Windows 11 : • Click the View button on the File Explorer toolbar (Windows logo key ⊞ + E on keyboard) • Select Show > Hidden items from the menu
• Draw the following volumes:
1. Creating an extrusion form
Draw a box with dimensions of 10 m x 15 m x 20 m. (See the solution in the following video): https://autode.sk/3muQi6U )
2. Creating a revolve form
(See the solution in the following video): https://autode.sk/37xuZh7 ) 3. Creating a sweep form (See the solution in the following video): https://autode.sk/34msOei )
4. Creating a loft form
(See the solution in the following video): https://autode.sk/3aoiR3Q )
5. Creating Swept Blend
(See the solution in the following video): https://autode.sk/2KBeSG2 )
6. Void forms and « Cut »
(See the solution in the following video): https://autode.sk/2K64hTR ) At home, think about how to generate the volumes below: Here's the solution: http://autodesk-revit.blogspot.com/2010/09/back-to-basics-conceptual-masses-in.html
