Connection status LED indication

Once the device is powered below observations should be considered
Constant blinking (2Hz) – router is turning on.
Data not connected– it has no data connection; LED will be Red. see Fig 1
Data connected – it has data connection; all the LED will be Green without blinking. see Fig 2

Controller configuration
Modbus TCP Connections
The three LAN ports are used for Modbus TCP connections using ethernet cable. Connect
the rectifier controller using ethernet cable to the one of the three LAN ports and configure
the IP address and port number as below. In order to login to rectifier controller, use one of
the three LAN ports of the RUT device and not disconnecting the cable from RMS to
controller.

Orion Modbus Mapping
Loading Mapping so that the Modbus data can be transmitted. Login to the controller and follow
below instruction.

Configuration > System > File Manager > File Type > Modbus Slave Mapping
Choose File > HT_ModbusSlave_Mapping_02

Controller configuration
Changing Modbus Slave Mode and listen port to 502
Once the mapping file installed change modbus slave mode as per below
Configuration > System > Interface Set Up > Remote Monitoring > Modbus Slave and then
change mode to TCP
IF TCP not enabled, we would Not Get the rectifier Data

Deepsea configuration
The maximum recommended length of RS232 cable is 15m, if the cable run from the
Teltonika to the Deepsea is 15m or less, then RS232 is preferred. The RS232 cable is a
straight through cable with one male and one female D9 connector

The installation is the same for a DSE7320 MkI and DSE7320 MkII controllers.

Once the cable is installed properly go to RS232 Port – Basic and select as per below.
Important: Make sue the baud rate selected matches the one on Teltonika device settings
.

Checking License key
❑ In order for controller to send data to Dataminer, controller must have license key. Check the status using below path.

Configuration>Option

❑ If the controller has license key, then SNMP Protocol check box will be ticked.

Processing License key
❑ If the controller do not have license key, get the MAC address and request. Go through below path to get MAC address

Configuration>System>Interface>Setup>TCP/IP

❑ RMS SPOC Send email containing MAC address to HTT System Engineering(Jrunyoro@httanzania.co.tz or
Ishauri@httanzania.co.tz ) team to be provided with license key

Labelling:
What?
Where?
When?
Why?

27
Helios Towers | Private & Confidential

LABELLING
What is Labelling?

This is an act of putting tags with

customer name on cables that tap

power from customer equipment.

28
Helios Towers | Private & Confidential

LABELLING
Where do we label?

Labelling is done by putting a tag with

customer name where it is easily visible.

29
Helios Towers | Private & Confidential

LABELLING
When do we label?

Labelling is supposed to be done during

PM maintenance or in any visit that FE

will discover that the tag is unavailable

or not readable.

Also, when a new customer is added or

removed at site labelling has to be

updated.

Console data troubleshooting

What are data in console?

If the device is Online its supposed to send data in Console.

NOC team can detect data are send in console by

checking Last Seen should be less than 24hrs for device to

be confirmed Online. Also, the last Updates of Data in

Rectifier and Generator should be as of latest time.

Console data troubleshooting

Device/Site Online but does not send rectifier data in console?

The connection of ethernet cable to Teltonika device and controller, enables

data to be send in console. When this cable is disconnected/Loose connection

then we cannot see rectifier data.. Team must make sure the LAN/Ethernet cable

is always in controller.

Console data troubleshooting

Device/Site Online but does not send rectifier data in console?
If You come across with this error
and device is online meaning,
there is no connection to the
rectifier. Confirm by checking if the
Modbus is updated and installed
also save mode as TCP
Configuration > System > Interface Set Up > Remote
Monitoring > Modbus Slave and then change mode
to TCP

Console data troubleshooting

Device/Site Online but does not send Generator data in console?
When check the generator data in console and Teltonika and come across with The below message

meaning there is no connection between DSE and Teltonika..

Console data troubleshooting

Device/Site Online but does not send Generator data in console?

Go to DSE controller, 7320 MKII Configuration

❑ Communication

❑ Identify the Connection if was done on RS232 OR 458

Port Then Basic setup make sure the baud rate set is the

same as the one from Teltonika

❑ By Doing this we will resolve the Issue on Generator not

sending data in console
