In this summary, the article “Integration of Energy Saving with Lean Production in a Food

Processing Company” has been studied and analyzed in order to get more information about
Lean Manufacturing and how it plays a very important role in nowadays industry.

The integration of energy saving measures with lean production principles in the food
processing industry is a forward-looking approach that aims to achieve both environmental
sustainability and operational efficiency. With the recent upgoing of energy costs all over the
world, companies have started to be very aware of the situation and are implementing
methods to be more energy-efficient and sufficient. In order to have an indicator of how
energy-efficient a production line is, the SEC has been stated. The lower the SEC, the more
efficient the production line is. In the paper, lean production is implemented in Egypt in a food
production company with the final purpose to find
