Senior DevOps Engineer

our NLP capabilities.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced DevOps engineer motivated by product delivery and
experienced in Software development, SecDevOps activities, PaaS, and Cloud-Native stacks.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will help us evolve and industrialize the release and operation
pipelines by building infrastructure and configuration as code that will be deployed on AWS, to
support the requirements of your cross-functional product delivery team and other
stakeholders. You will work through complete Software development lifecycle of this code
contributing to VoxSmart Service Level Objective.

Day-to-Day tasks:

• Work with the Product Owner to define, refine and deliver the product backlog;
• Design and document software and system solutions meeting functional and non-
functional requirements;
• Implement IaC and CaC, following best practices for maintainability, testability, and
security;
• Manage the scale, capacity, security, high availability, recovery, and performance of
platform services (like K8s, DBs, Gateways, Firewalls…)
• Troubleshoot & debug issues to identify defects, performance bottlenecks or technical
debt;
• Participate in agile ceremonies and drive continuous improvement;
• Promote ‘you build it, you run it’ culture while being an enabler and DevSecOps
ambassador for the team;
• Help with DevSecOps/SRE direction (evaluation and selection of new tech/tools,
adoption of best practices);
• Mentor other Team members to help with cross disciplines knowledge;
• Help to break silos by ensuring knowledge is shared.

What We Are Looking For

Essential Skills/Experience

• English: C Level
• Experience with Software Development applying best practices in one or more of the
following languages: C#, Java, Go, or JavaScript.
• Experience developing automated CI/CD pipelines to provision infrastructure, managed
services and to deploy services.
• Experience managing the scale, capacity, security, high availability, recovery, and
performance of platform services (like K8s, MQs, DBs, API Gateways, Firewalls...).
• Experience with the Operation and Change Management of production systems.
• Experience with Observability, monitoring, and reliability.
• Incident management and response: Detect, diagnose, and fix incidents. Participate in
post-mortem process and reports of such incidents.
• Close work with rest of engineers to design and build resilient and elastic systems and
platforms.
• Extensive knowledge of IaaS and PaaS in Public Cloud.
• Proficient with most of the following tech stacks (or equivalent):
o AWS IaaS and services (EKS, Fargate, RDS, CloudWatch) and IAM (GCP,
Azure)
o Docker
o Kubernetes/K8s
o Terraform (and testing frameworks)
o Ansible (and testing frameworks)
o Github Actions or GitLab
o ELK (Observability)

Bonus (non-essential) experience with the following would be helpful:

o Observability using Open Telemetry Platforms & APMs


o Prometheus
o K8s and Helm
o IaC security scan
o Windows Services & automation
