Pain scale ?

Pain is a signal in your nervous system that something may be wrong

,It is like an unpleasant feeling or sensation ,otherwise it is a good mechanism to tell

that there is a bad thing happen to your body , or you need to take a rest

;so as it’s a bad feeling it’s a good mechanism .

Until now the doctors hasn’t know the exact way to describe the pain ;even the

scales are not United, even though it depends on what the patient tell you

Method 1 : In the pain scale , why don’t we be more specific in

questions ?*they did it*
Like we put depending on the occasion some separated
questions (e.g do the patient has headache ? -scale it from mild
to severe- , does the patient feels a pain in the stomach ,
jawbone, can move limbs easily..etc. ?) *the make something
similar ,but still unique in my opinion side*
Then those who’s appear we add them together to we scale
the person what kind of pain he/her had ((I think THIS
remains new))
One example of this which describe it very specific is :Testing
battery ; A widely used set of parameters was proposed by the
German Research Network on Neuropathic Pain.
Method2 : when the doctor is being more specific on questions
the patient can answer more clearly.
-it is complement to the “Method1”-

While I am doing my research I had found this ‘in my opinion’

helpful measurement the QST (quality sensory testing) :
Quantitative sensory testing in measurement of neuropathic
pain phenomena and other sensory abnormalities

**Neuropathic pain arises as a consequence of a lesion

or disease affecting the somatosensory system and is
characterised by a combination of positive and
negative sensory symptoms. Quantitative sensory
testing (QST) examines the sensory perception after
application of different mechanical and thermal
stimuli of controlled intensity and the function of both
large (A-beta) and small (A-delta and C) nerve fibres,
including the corresponding central pathways. QST
can be used to determine detection, pain thresholds
and stimulus-response curves and can thus detect
both negative and positive sensory signs, the second
ones not being assessed by other methods.**
The other question appears and started doing a search is

How do we know the pain type in pediatrics? Because

they can not talk or describe, they just cry

I found a really precise method

- this in one of scientific researches, the method of the pitch of crying just blowing my mind
I wasn’t very into the pediatric section although; so I made it

very short.

In conclusion the pain is very important symptom of

course, and the pain scale is the tool to know how to

measure the pain ,with much sorry is still in the primitive

way and we do not have a lot of knowledge in this topic

- this in one of scientific researches
