1 Introduction:
The Nama Electricity Distribution Company S.A.O.C intends to invite interested Bidders to provide
Quotations on installation 46 Air condition 2.5 ton for substations at South Sharqiyah Governorate,
as specified in the scope of work.

2 Scope of work:
- Supply and installation 46 Air condition 2.5 ton for substations at South Sharqiyah
Governorate
- Panasonic or Gree air conditioners only.
- Removing old air conditioners and delivering them to the company's stores in Samail

7 Warranties:

The contractor should provide a one-year warranty for the Air condition and five years for the
compressor.

9 Payment Term:

The Nama Electricity Distribution Company S.A.O.C. shall pay to the Contractor 100% after
completing the project 100%.

Payment’s term is 60 days upon receiving the invoice.

10 Penalty
A penalty for delay of project completion of 1% per week up to maximum of 3% LPO
value.

13 Terms and Conditions:
• Quotation must be addressed to the Procurement Committee Chairman, Muscat, marked with the
RFQ No., the description and the closing date.
• Valid commercial & municipality registrations shall be attached with original offer.
• Your quotation must be valid for (90) days from the quotation date.
• The quotation must be duly signed and stamped from the bidder authorized person.
• If the total quotation amount above (R.O. 20,000) The bidder shall enclose a bank guarantee issued
by any bank in the Sultanate of Oman for value of (1%) from the total quotation value and
addressed to the chairperson of the (PC), Nama Electricity Distribution Company. Any offer value
above R.O. 20,000 not includes (1%) bid bond will be rejected.
• waive the tender bond requirements (1%) for Bidders holding Riyada card issued by Public
Authority for SME Development (Riyada).
• The awarded bidder shall enclose (5%performance bond) a bank guarantee issued by any bank
in the Sultanate of Oman for value of (5%) from the total quotation value and addressed to the
chairperson of the (PC), Nama Electricity Distribution Company.

 Important requirements:

1- For offers exceeding RO 20,000/- a Bid bond is required to be submitted as Softcopy along with
the offer and to drop the original Bid bond ONLY in the RFQ box in the head office/ Muscat in
sealed envelope mentioning the RFQ Number, before the closing date of the RFQ or the quotation
will not be considered.
2- To provide the offer in three separated documents submitted on-line :
• Technical offer
• Commercial offer (includes a coverage letter which shows clearly the total amount of quotation)
• Bid Bond

Note:
o Participated vendors shell be registered in tender board with valid registration
(To be attached with the offer).
o All expenses for royalties, licenses, custom duties, taxes, withholding tax as per Royal
Decree No. 9/2017 and the like in connection with the works must be included in
supplier offer.
o Bid
o Nama Electricity Distribution Company gives priority to award the projects to Riyadh
registered companies that hold a valid certificate for projects valued up to OMR 10,000.

o The charges, fees, or any other consideration due under this contract are inclusive of
Value Added Tax (hereinafter referred as “VAT”) that may be applicable/introduced in
Oman from time to time. It is agreed that upon introduction of VAT in Oman, any
payments due under this contract would be subject to receipt of valid documents such as
tax invoice, debit note, etc., when required to be issued in compliance with the Oman VAT
law.

Terms & Conditions
1. Any quotation received after the above closing date or submitted in
wrong location will not be considered.
2. The quotation must be valid for 45 days from the closing date.
3. The warranty period, make and country of origin should be
mentioned in the quotation and the duration of delivery if not
mentioned by NEDC.
4. The prices must be written in figures and words with company stamp.
5. You should provide samples if required.
6. NEDC is not obliged to consent the lowest bid and may accept or
reject any quotation.
7. The contractor or supplier should fulfill Electrical work Terms &
Condition.
8. The contractor must prepare and submit HSE plan, the plan needs to
be approved by NEDC HSE team.
9. The contractor must attach DCRP Certificate & Tender Board
Certificate for all electrical works tenders.
10. The bidder must stamp and sign the tender’s documents as
aknowledgtment of the understanding of the scope of work. Any
regret after opening the bids / qutations ,the contractor will pay 1%
from total offer value as penalty. NEDC has the right to suspend the
violation contractor from participating in new tenders for miximam 6
months or crosse out from the list . While NEDC reserve any other
right or remedy they may have now or subsequently and liable to
compensate contravener for not complying with the terms and
conditions of bids / quotation.
11. Unless mentioned clearly that the materials are (free issue From
NEDC) the contractor responsibility to provide this material and will
not accept any excuse after bid / quotation submtion.
12. This advertisement to be considered as a part of the agreement.
13. Any quotation not matching the above conditions will not be
considered.
14. The bidders should Undertaking that there is no interest or
relationship up to the first or second degree or matrimonial or their
minor children between the owners of the institution/company
commercial register with any of Electricity Distribution Board
members or staff. And In the case of violation of that, the institution/
company will bear all the legal responsibility according to what is
stipulated laws, regulations and resolutions in force in the sultanate
of Oman, also Electricity Distribution has the right to take a legal
action against of our company , if the bidder breached any of above
condition.
15. The bidders must present a copy of their tax card while submitting
their offers for NEDC tenders.
16. The bidder should met the Omanization percentage; as per ministry
of labour rules.
17. The suppliers need to use Omani ports for all their imported items.
