Generally, listening has a lot of positive impacts in our everyday
lives, it helps us to understand others, enhance relationships, persuade others, lead and inspire a team and learn from others. As a nursing student, listening is crucial especially in nursing for the reason that in order to understands and comprehend the lesson. In nursing, there are a lot of unfamiliar terms and words discussed that are needed to listen attentively in order to understand and familiarized to the concept. As a student, I would say, that the positive impacts of listening aside from acquiring knowledge is that it gives time for self evaluation. Listening also provides peace at some point depending on what is being said. The better you listen, the more you'll be listened to. Listening makes us knowledgeable and thoughtful person. Hence, Listening is a powerful tool for generating ideas and expanding our understanding of what we are hearing.
