1. Detach demand v/v from quick release coupling on medium pressure hose

2. Insert test gauge into coupling

3. Open cylinder v/v slowly and fully and check reading on test gauge.

4. At inlet pressure of >100 bar gauge should read between 6 - 9 bar. After one minute
it is
acceptable for pressure to rise to 9.7 bars

5. If set fails test then pressure reducer requires returning to Dragger on exchange basis

FACE MASK - DEMONSTRATE


How to: -
Inspect, replace exhalation valve disc/valve spring assembly
Inspect, replace inhalation valve discs (always replace both not one only)
Locate inner original mask assembly into groove in diaphragm retaining ring
Inspect, replace speech diaphragm
In addition explain that rubber requires inspection for cracks and deterioration, straps for tears
and visor should be checked for cracks and how to replace if necessary.

DEMAND VALVE- DEMONSTRATE


How to: -
Remove top cover and inspect, replace diaphragm
Line up diaphragm and cover with markings on casing
In addition explain if problem with balance piston , then replace piston

PRESSURE REDUCER -DEMONSTRATE

How to: - Remove sintered filter and replace along with O-ring - Explain required to be done on
a yearly basis.

FAULT DIAGNOSIS

Give hand out on fault diagnosis for the following: -

• Pressure Reducer

• Demand Valve

• Whistle Warning Unit

• Face piece
