Statement of Purpose

Introduction:
My name is Rabindra Chaudhary, born on 16 th May 2000 , having Nepalese
citizenship and a passport (11301643) and I am a resident of Nawalparasi . My
father is Surat Ram Chaudhary has been working as a Bus driver in Nepal for almost
15 years and my sibling Bishal Chaudhary is in Malta and works for courier
delivery . My family members are fully supportive and positive towards my further
study. This helps me to get higher education from University of East London with
better knowledge and skills. So, I decided to join University of East London for the
Hospitality management .

Academic Background:
As talking to my academic background, I passed my higher secondary school from
Junior Citizens’ Academy in the science stream with CGPA 2.65, in 2019. Before
this, I passed Secondary Education Examination (SEE) from Pokhara Junior Citizens’
Academy with a GPA of 3.35 in 2017.

Reasons for choosing United Kingdom :

Through all the research and discussion with seniors and agent, I found Uk is best and
right match for study purpose. Uk Education System is regarded to be one of the most
impressive in the world and it has been maintaining its high standard where the
government carefully regulates the education system. My conducive environment and
weather, other recreational activities besides studies and much more to explore are
also the important factors because of which Uk stood on the top of my list.
Regarding my home country there are some reasons why I have not chosen it for my
further studies. Education system in Nepal is book-focused where one can pass the
exams by memorizing notes, old questions and books rather than any research or
practical projects. Pursuing bachelor degree from one of the renowned college in Uk
will not only boost my career, but will also help me grow intellectually.
Furthermore, we can experience political activities in each and every field here in
Nepal and educational institutions are not an exception. Colleges shut down for an
indefinite time due to strikes every year. I want a positive environment to study which
is free from politics and only focuses on providing quality education to students and
this is also one of the reasons why I opted for foreign education.

Reasons for choosing Hospitality management :

As I decided to study in Uk it was complicated for me to choose the appropriate
college for me. I did plenty of researches on the internet and talked to many
individuals who have proper insights regarding the college in Uk. I checked many
colleges including University of East London. As Compared to other colleges I found
that University of East London offered me everything I have been looking for.
University of East London is right match for me from various aspects in addition of
tuition fees. The program offered includes all the high-level Business courses which
would help me to learn about various aspects of Business (Leadership and
management). I found that the environment is safe, caring, friendly as well as
University of East London provides good facilities. University of East London college
is focused on student centered learning with global recognition of degree. Further, I
visited University of East London website to know more about the courses, fees
structure, environment and many more about University of East London. I believed
that highly respected faculty members with strong industry focus help to polish me in
the Hospitality management field and believe that this college will prepare me to face
any challenges in the future.

Reasons for choosing this course:

The willingness to work hard to reach my carrier goal I choose to study Hospitality
management .
This course provides immense knowledge regarding leadership and business
management. This course develops a skill that is required by employers. Hospitality
management course is a combination of academic theory and real world application
learning through a team of qualified and research faculty members. This course has all
the prerequisite required for business leadership and management. In the complex
world of business, the chosen course helps in acquiring knowledge of business
decision making, problem solving, business analysis, communication and strategic
thinking skills to run the business successfully.

Again, many alumni of this college are placed well also get a chance to present
themselves on the international platforms and be industry leaders. I hope I will be able
to be a part of multinational groups.

Accommodation Arrangement
United kingdom is one of the safest country in terms of crime rate. The
accommodation facility is too friendly and can stay in home stay, private hostels,
college residential and sharing accommodations for international students. The
peaceful environment leads to quality life and peaceful mind. Sharing accommodation
will be good for international students as it provides opportunity to learn different
cultural groups and location near to the college shall be given more priority.
Career Plans
The course provides lots of opportunities like public relation manager, advertising
manager, training and development manager and many more. I have chosen training
and development manager as my career goal.
The HM hons requires 3 years to complete. After that I will return back to my home
country to grab the opportunity in the field of leader and management. As my career
goal is to have better position in the field of business and thereafter to uplift my
position with hard work and dedication. I will always focus on increasing the
productivity of organization’s employees. The course further enhances decision
making skills to have right decision at right time. Providing training and boost up the
skills of organization’s employees is the main task job of training and development
manager.
Reasons for coming back to Nepal
The dream of joining big companies with training and development manager is the
key reason to come back to Nepal. Apart from that, the family ties and country ties are
the other reasons for coming back to Nepal. I also want to spend much time with my
parents. My parents have sacrificed and supported a lot for educating and growing up
me to this level.
Again, the career plan of Training & Development manager further insists me for
doing job in Nepal with lots of skills and knowledge gained from 4 years Hospitality
management course. Nepal is a fast growing country with numerous opportunities in
the field of training and development, this course perfectly matches with need of
present business environment.

Funding:
My Father and my brother will be sponsoring for my studies in UK . The tuition fees
and living expenses are fully covered by the education loan taken form Himalayan
bank limited. They both are job holders and my Father has been working as a bus
driver in Nepal for almost 15 years. Similarly, my brother is in Malta and works in
the courier delivery . The salary from abroad is sufficient to pay interest/installments
for education loan.
