CHAPTER l V

PRESENTATION, RESULT, ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA

This chapter presents, analyzes and interprets data gathered through researcher-

made survey questionnaire. Data are presented according to the order of the statement

of the problem in chapter 1.

In this table shown that reading wattpad can slightly effect their grades because
they have not review their lesson. They read wattpad first than to read their lesson.

This table represent that the student read wattpad before they sleep and up and less
student read wattpad in a public place and in the over all student read wattpad every
free time.

As shown, the section 2.8 describes as Rarely Agree signifies that they can’t familiarize
their lesson but the story in watppad can they familiarize. This means the student can
easy to remember the story in wattpad but in the lesson can easy to forget.

CHAPTER V

SUMMARY, CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION

Summary

This study was conducted to know the effect of wattpad to the academic
performance of the student. This study used survey questionnaire to know what is the
effect of reading wattpad to the student. And based on the problem, the following
hypothesis formed:

Ho: there is a significant effect of reading wattpad to the academic performance


of the student.

Although the relationship of the variables is negative correlated. Meaning when


more of hours of reading wattpad the academic performance is lower.
Conclusion

We have found that most of the respondents read wattpad during their free time.
In this study it indicates the wattpad doesn’t affect the performance has affected and
also of them read wattpad during their free time. There are also some of the respondent
academic performance has affected and also few of them has been failed there
academic performance because of reading wattpad. It also shows the most of the
respondents says that wattpad make them lost their time to study. Most of them have
good performance in their study and we can say that wattpad doesn’t affect their
academic performance.

Recommendation

As we have study we have found that there is positive and negative effect
wattpad to the students. We can say that, we have to minimize our time in reading
wattpad. It doesn’t say that we must stop reading wattpad it just that we have to use our
time in a good way. For example we have projects, we must stop just for a while and do
what we must do, like bonding our family and friends are slowly gone. So read wattpad
for good purpose and not for bad purpose that can harm your study.
