I. Objectives
At the end of discussion, the Grade 2 learners are expected to achieve at least 75%
proficiency level of the following:
a. Read words, phrases, sentences, and/or short stories. MT1PWR IIIf-i-7.2
a.1. Write words, phrases and sentence with combined letter sounds /a/, /n/, /i/, /g/,
/o/, /l/, /s/, /t/,/d/,/h/,/y/,/p/,/b/,/s/ and sight word mga

C. Concept
The word “mga” is use to indicate something that is one or more.
An object that is more than one or more, we use the sight word “mga” to indicate it.
III. Procedure
A. Preliminary Activities
1. Rules Inside the Classroom
Before we start our discussion, I want you to be reminded of our class rules
which you need to follow.
First, you need to sit properly. Second, put your hands on the table. Third,
observe silence when the teacher is talking. Fourth listen to the teacher. Lastly, raise
your right hand when answering, and asking questions

Directions: Read the following sight words.
4. Motivation
The teacher will present the real object of the following.
The teacher will ask the pupils to name things on top of the table.
B. Lesson Proper
1. Lesson Presentation
Children, what are the things again on my table?
(The teacher will show the glass with different colors)
After showing the real objects, she will present the pictures of glass with different colors and
the word “mga baso”.
(The teacher will let the pupils count the glasses on the table)
The teacher will show a real different coin and show the word “mga barya”.
(The teacher will tell the class to count the number of coins and add.
The teacher will show a real different color of crayons and show the word “mga krayola”.
(The teacher will let the pupil identify the colors and count the colors in all)
Let the pupils read the phrases. After the different phrases, different sentences will be
discussed.

(The teacher will discuss and guide the pupils in making phrase and sentences. She will ask the
pupils to write a complete sentence.)

Now if I say “mga dahon” how many dahon I have? Is it only one? Or more than one?
If I say “mga tinidor? how many tinidor I have? Is it only one? Or more than one?
How about if I say “mga tsinelas” how many tsinelas I have? Is it only one? Or more than one?

E. Application
The teacher will let the pupil pick a picture and share something from that picture.
IV. Evaluation
Directions: Write the word “mga” to complete the short story.
V. Assignment
Directions: Write five (5) sentences using the word “mga”.
