Title: GROUNDED THEORY: ALCOHOLISM TO THE RESIDENCES OF

CUYAPO NUEVA ECIJA

Alcoholism, also known as alcohol use disorder (AUD), is a chronic and

potentially life-threatening condition that affects millions of people worldwide. It is

characterized by the excessive and compulsive consumption of alcohol despite its

negative consequences on a person’s physical, mental, and social health.

This research is Grounded Theory method of research. A research method

concerned with the generation of theory, which is “grounded” in data that has been

systematically collected and analyzed. It used to uncover such things as social

relationship and behavior of groups, known as social processes.

In the study on alcoholism to the residences of Cuyapo Nueva Ecija, many people

started drinking at the age of 15. The age of 18, they are legal already legal for their

parents to drink alcohol. In the interview, the time where they drink too much is when

they are in occasion like wedding and family reunion. This cause them to drunk too

much. The things that trigger them to drink alcohol is when their friends call them to

bond and drink alcohol. Their experience in drinking alcohol, they said that it is fun and

memorable together with friends. It is removing their fatigue. All of them are not able to

get up in the morning after finishing their drinking and because of drunkenness.

As s conclusion to findings prevented in the discussion, the reasons why the

respondents drink alcohol because of this problem happening to them and they hardly

could be wrong.

There is a range of factors that can contribute to the development of alcoholism,

including genetic, mental, physical, environmental, and social factors. While alcoholism

cannot be cured, it can be managed through a combination of medical treatment, therapy

and support.

1. Not exceed the daily and weekly limits.

2. Drink slowly. Do not have more than 2 drinks a day.

3. Have 1 non-alcoholic drink for every alcoholic drink.

4. Eat before and while you are drinking.

5. Make sure you have non-drinking days each week to avoid negative physical

consequences.

6. Be aware when you drank.
