School Orientation and Learning Session To Teachers in Conducting Psychosocial Support Activities

Narrative Report:
The registration for this SLAC started at 12:45 P.M. 15 minutes after the
registration we started the program by singing of the national anthem led by Mrs. Ria R.
Bautista, a grade 3 teacher. Followed by Mr. Richard SM. Cruz, a grade 5 teacher who
presided the opening prayer. After that, Ms. Joree Mae Castillo, a grade 4 teacher
actively checked the attendance, while Mr. Michael C Pascual shared some word of
wisdom and encouragement. Mrs. Elsie A. Alceso, a grade 5 teacher greeted everyone
before to start the meeting proper, then Mrs. Jovelyn S. Felix our school principal gave
her opening remarks to all the participants.
The school head together with Mrs. Jhoanna B. Ignacio, the District DRRM Coordinator
focused on reiterating the guidelines for the implementation of Psychosocial Support
Activities which are imperative in promoting, protecting, prioritizing the learners’ socio-
emotional well-being in line with the return to in-person classes for S.Y. 2022-2023.

To ensure that teachers are equip in conducting and facilitating psychosocial
activities, Mrs. Buluran and Mrs. Tamayo, discussed the Handouts on the Conduct and
Facilitation of Psychosocial. This handout is given prior to the live online Learning
Session on the Conduct and Facilitation of Psychosocial Support Activities to provide
time for participants to read, and familiarize themselves with the concepts to be
discussed during the online learning session. As an aid, this handout is meant to be
used to support the learning of the participants during the online session.
District DRRM Team headed by PSDS/DICs and District DRRM Coordinators
(Elementary and Secondary) are required to monitor the conduct of the said activity.
In the last part of our program, Mrs. Angelica C. Castillo who are master of
ceremony encouraged all the teachers to raise their questions for clarifications and
recommendation towards the effective implementation of this program. The activity
done successfully with a closing prayer from Mrs. Janica T. Lucas, a kinder teacher.
