Culture is the arts that are elevated from beliefs.

Hence, it is important to preserve it and by


doing so, we must never stop creating, knowing, promoting and protectimg it. A joyful morning
to all of you, we are group blank. Who are here to our group work that aspire to present the
culture of B'laan.

B'laan is a culture with diverse traditions and rituals and one of them is weaving. T-H-R-E-A-D-

Tradition, B'laan people are known for their love of weaving or Mabal Tabih in B'laan language.
It is a highly respected tradition that they even have a name for women who are prodigies in this
field. Hence, the barbie signifies the artists that coveted their lives in the art of weaving. They
often wear their handicraft with designs that are based on their religion or sometimes the
imagination of their Libun Fanday. They also wear their woven clothes on special occasions
such as religious rituals and tend to have accessories to matched with it.

Heritage- It's an old tradition of B'laan people that it is even considered dying. The last of their
artist named Fu Yabing is already at least 90 according to her grandchildren. She even
mentioned that it hurts her eyes to see people use modern weaving machine since Mabal Tabih
is commonly done by hand and a loom made in abacca.Thus, we made a gorgeous loom made
by unused chopsticks to represent the original weaving process.

Rich- it is rich as it is colorful and meaningful, as mentioned their crafts are not only used as
their garments but also as a way of expressing their art and beliefs by incorporating geometric
designs. Here, you can see the abstract shapes with different colors in their dress or even the
blankets on the floor to signify their rich imagination and culture.
