Note: If the instrument is experiencing ongoing assay imprecision, accuracy issues or there are
service related activities required to be performed (i.e. TSB/ISA’s, etc.), record pertinent
information below and follow up with level 2 support.
Verify Abbott Link connection status & review message history log for issues.
Inspection Procedures Completed
Verify TSB status of instrument.
Verify customer has performed a recent software back-up and current system back-up CD is
available.

Review Maintenance & Message History Logs and advise customer on performance of customer
maintenance procedures and inventory of customer maintenance parts.

The removal and replacement instructions for L/N parts are available on the System Control
Center (SCC) online Operations Manual.

Note: Follow local Service Organization processes if it is necessary to charge customer for LN
parts and/or labor.
Inspect and clean LCW manifold and LCW tank as necessary.

High & Low Concentration Waste Completed

If the c8000 is configured to run HbA1c, replace the HCW peristaltic pump tubing and Tbg., HC
Noz to Peri Pump tubing if last replacement is > 6 months.

Inspect HCW and LCW external waste tubing & connections. Clean as needed.

Inspect external waste pump (if present) tubing & connections. Power off external waste pump
and clean as needed.

Probes & Tubing Completed

If there is evidence of splatter around the wash cup or deck/cover area around the path that the
probe moves, ensure the probe link tubing is secure and carefully inspect the bellow and poppets
of the fluid source for the pipettor.
Probe Wash Internal/External Completed
Replace Inner Probe Wash Pump bellows if last replacement is > 1year or signs of leakage is
observed.

Check degasser output for air/bubbles. Drain degasser canister if water is observed in the drain
tubing. Also check sample and reagent syringes for bubbles.

• Old Style- P-110 Degasser Cannister Draining

Select System/Maintenance/As needed and perform M&D 2132 Flush Water Lines.

Cuvette Washer Completed

Advise customer on manually cleaning cuvettes per M&D 6310 Clean cuvettes-manually if last
completion is > 6 months. Inspect the cuvette segments for Crystalline build up and clean if
necessary.

Inspect Cuvette Washer nozzle tubing for kinks, leaks, debris & discoloration. Replace as
needed.

Inspect cuvette drying tip for chips, discoloration & signs of rubbing (black streak). If observed,
inform customer of issue and advise replacement.

ICT Completed
Inspect the ICT Probe tubing at top of ICT module. Look for collapsed tubing, crimps, clogs,
discoloration and replace as needed.

Select System/Maintenance/As Needed and perform:

• M&D 6063 Flush ICT Module
Verify Instrument Performance Completed
Ensure appropriate Quality Control meets specification and calibrate as necessary.
