Fifteen-year-old Pia Svenson is not the type of girl to sit and watch the world go
by.Instead, she believes in grasping every opportunity that comes her way and living life to
the fullest!California is the perfect place for Pia to be living,too.In her beach area community
she`s making her dreams come true,by surfing at the weekends,water-skiing and wind-surfing
in the ocean,horseback riding in the canyon and playing tennis and volleyball.Indoors,you`re
apt to find Pia writing poetry in the solitude of her bedroom,plunking away at the piano or
simply entertaining herself with one of the family`s nice cats,three dogs or four chickens!
With a list of hobbies this long,how does she determine what comes first?
Pia`s passion is definetely volleyball! “I`ve only been playing for a couple of years,but I
absolutely love it!It comes before everything,” says Pia.During her high school team`s
season,she practises seven days a week,three hours a day,to become the very best volleyball
player she can be.
Pia`s drive to succeed is due in part to her hard- working, supportive parents. Danish-
born Bo(a famous Hollywood actor) and Lise Svenson are both very ambitious and have
instilled their beliefs in Pia and her 13-year-old sister Maja.
With the good looks Pia possesses,many people ask her if she`ll follow in her father`s
footsteps and take up acting or even modelling.Her answer is direct and honest.“I`m not
interested in that type of lifestyle.Modelling doesn`t look like much fun.I have so many other
interests that I think I`ll pursue something I really enjoy,” states Pia.
Will Pia fulfill her dream of becoming a great volleyball player?With looks,ambition and
goals like Pia`s,one thing`s for sure,we think you`ll be seeing more of her in the future.Our
