Material Used: Poetry: Daddy by Sylvia Plath, PPT slides

Lesson Focus: To understand the poem as a whole and analyze the techniques used in the poem.

Learner profile (Age + Proficiency level/ Number of students): The students are advanced learners of English,
and they study at an FLE department. They are at a B2/C1 level in English. There are 25 students in the class.

Anticipated problems & Remedies during Teaching:

1. Some technical problems with Zoom may occur. I will send the slides and videos to the students before the lesson.
2. Time may not be enough. I will ask them to review the poem before class.
3. It is likely that there are words and descriptions they do not know. I will let them use the internet to search.
Aim/Goal of your lesson (1-2 goals):

1. Students will be able to analyze the techniques in the poem and understand the subject.
