JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Data Scientist, with focus on AI, you will work in a global team
of experts delivering AI based products and know-how to diverse
areas all over the tire business. Our new Data Science Hub in
Portugal will be integral part of this team.
The following responsibilities are:
 Lead projects and steer teams to create AI-powered
applications for ContiTech;
 Consult teams and domain experts how to bring AI to
their applications;
 Work with domain experts to understand their problems
and solve them with data;
and IT to solve problems;
 Get involved into different tasks at once and involve yourself with
our team to get the support you need;
 Support in shaping the processes and organization to leverage
the business value Data Science can bring to our enterprise.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
 Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics,
Statistics, Physics or similar studies;
 Professional experience in the area of Data Science or data driven
function;
 Knowledge in several programming languages in order to
analyse data, develop analytical applications;
 Experience with modern software architectures (Container,
CI/CD, Virtualization, Databases, Streaming, APIs,
Microservices);
 Experience with one AI framework (PyTorch, Tensorflow, …);
 Knowledge in ML methods (XGBoost, Time-series, Regression,
SVM, etc.);
 Experience with several data management processes like
Relational data models (ERM), dimensional models (OLAP) and
unstructured data models;
 Basic programming in object oriented programming is a plus;
 Reliable team player with structured self-organized workstyle;
 Stakeholder-oriented communication and presentation skills;
 Strong English language skills (written and spoken);
 Minimum 1 year of IT or Industry working experience;
 Experience in working in a multinational company (is a plus).
