Reasons I want to be a Teacher

I did not ever think I would want to be a teacher until I had a teacher who really cared

about me. This teacher made me feel comfortable any time I had something wrong.

They say that a student may never remember what you said to them but they will remember what

you did for them. This is what I want to happen for my future students. I have always loved

working with kids who may be struggling or children who need someone to support them. I

know that in my heart teaching is something I fully want to do now. I know I can be a support

system for any child who may need it. Children are great to work with since they are very honest,

they can tell you things no one else will. Children tend to be the ones who remember and change

your life forever. I knew when I became a junior in high school it was what I wanted to do

because I grew very fond of the children I was mentoring with and they grew very fond of me

even if I was a complete stranger to them.

I know I can be a teacher for any child to come over and make sure they know they are

safe. I know in today's world it is scary to be a teacher but even with that I would do whatever it

may take for the children to be safe.
