Read the given situation then write your answer in each stage of the report writing
process.
Situation
You were assigned by your Chief of Police to investigate the robbery case that
happened at a Gaisano, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro. Explain briefly the
things/activites which you are going to do in each step of the report writing process.
1. Interviewing:
This step is the backbone of the preliminary investigation. I will ask somebody that was
in the Gaisano, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro of what really happened. I will ask series
of questions to the victims and witnesses. I will also ask if it has a cctv and if it's working
to review the incident.
2. Note taking :
To assist my memory with specific details, this step should I do. I will take note the
name, date of birth and the address of the victims and witnesses. I will also take note
the serial numbers connected to the case.
3. Organizing:
This step is to arrange all information gathered to create a particular structure. It is to
portray of what really happened from the start to the end of the incident. This includes
how the suspect/s robbed the place.
4. Writing the Narrative:

In this stage, I have to write the narration or write the whole story of the incident. It should make
an impression to the mind of the readers.

5. Proofreading:

After I write the story of the incident, i will double check it if there are mistakes such as grammar
and typographical error to make it more reliable and better.
