Reflection Questions:

• How have one or more of your identities developed over the course of your
life?
• When was the first time you FELT a social identity?
• How, when and where have you learned about your identities?
1. My identities develop because of my surroundings such as my family, my friends. As time
goes by, I learn more about how to be a better person. I learn more about good personality
traits such as Honesty. My family also give an impact of my identity development for example
when I was in elementary school, I didn't know what talent is. I was asked by my mother to
join the piano class to learn piano. At that time, I felt that I like playing piano. I also could play
piano after I joined the piano class. I learned that it was a talent and my identity.

2. The very first time I felt a social identity is when I was in elementary school. I've learned
that I was a Sundanese. When I first time entered the class, I get to know with my friends. I
realized that almost everyone in my class is a Sundanese too. I learned that Sundanese is a
social identity as not only me who Sundanese but people who born in Bandung are
Sundanese too.

3. I learned about my identities when I was in elementary school. My identity that I felt for the
first time is that I'm a female and I also learn that I'm a Christian. When I watched movies with
English Language, I didn't understand. I asked to my mother what is the language in the film
and my mother said it's an English language. I realized that English is not my language since
I didn't understand and Indonesia is my language.
