Metal cutting process is the introduction of general machining method. Briefly

described about the cutting forces in machining and acting upon the tool and
workpiece. When removing the metal heat energy is released and burns the cutting
tool. Most of the heat generated in the process is removed from the workpiece and tool.
The condition and physical properties of the workpiece is influence the machining
process. Power consumption, surface finish and chip for machine is depended upon
the machinability. Many types of tool materials are used of cutting tools, so it is
important to be wave that difference exist among them, what these differences are, and
the correct application for each type of material. The ISO designation of metals are P,
M, K. What is P,M,K and machining condition are descripted in operation and working
condition section. The types of tool wear and how to solve the problems is very
important article for workshop engineers. Basically machining process Turning, Boring,
Threading and Milling process also described. The most important section is tool
selection.In this section ISO designation of indexable inserts, tool holders and holder
selected by operations are described.
