The Helderberg Annandale pocket of wine farms form part of the Golden Triangle, an area well-known
for noble grape varietals, especially Cabernet Sauvignon.

Our Cabernet Sauvignon vines are planted on the warmer, lower slopes of the Estate.
A wine of poise, possessed with real elegance and polished tannins.

VINTAGE CONDITIONS A late, cold and wet winter filled up the soil profiles. Cooler than normal soil
temperatures and spring conditions allowed for even budding. The weather
was favourable for flowering with less wind than normal. A cool March
enhanced flavour retention and delayed harvest by two weeks. The vintage
delivered pleasing quality.

MATURATION 18 months in French oak barrels, 50 % new

OPTIMUM SERVING TEMPERATURE 17 – 18 °C

TASTING NOTES
COLOUR Deep ruby red

NOSE The nose is fresh, clean and refined showing aromas of deep blackberry,
graphite and freshly picked violets.

PALATE The palate is silky with concentrated flavours of stylish black cherry and plum
with nuances of aniseed. The well-integrated tannin structure is
complemented by refreshing acidity and a dry, lingering finish.
