The map above illustrates an international representation of

urbanization, land protection, and a classification scheme. According to the

United Nations Population Division, the proportion of a country's

population that lives in an urban area. The proportion of a country's surface

area that is listed as protected by the World Protected Areas Database in the

middle panel. Bottom panel: the four-category classification scheme utilized in

this article, which is based on the proportion of people living in cities, the

quantity of protected land, and the distance between cities between cities and

protected areas.

The outcomes of our scenario analysis demonstrate a definite global

trend toward a reduction in the distance between a protected area and the

closest urban area over the period (1995 to 2030). However, regional

differences in outcomes can be best explained by classifying all nations in the

globe into four groups based on their degree of urbanization, population

density (people/km2), and size of their protected area network (Map 1). It

should be noted that although classifying nations based on national-level

statistics is adequate for capturing global patterns, there is still significant sub-

national variation.

Urban countries with dense populations. They are already heavily

urbanized (>60%) and have a high population density (>40 people/km2).

Urban and protected areas are frequently close by, and this is anticipated to

continue (43.3% of protected areas are within 10 km of a small urban

agglomeration today). A modest population (40 people/km2) and high levels

of urbanization (>60%) characterize this region. The distance between urban

and protected areas is often great (18.9% of protected areas are more than

10 kilometers away from a small agglomeration) and is predicted to stay that

way. Rural countries with lots of parks: Still urbanizing (around 60% urban),

with a lot of protected area (over 5% land area). Urban and protected areas

are typically rather close to one another (27.1% of protected areas are within

10 km of a sizable agglomeration, and in 2030). The limited protected areas

that did exist were somewhat close to urban areas (20.0% of protected areas

were within 10 km of a small agglomeration), and this proximity is anticipated

to rise with time.

The Philippine or National Map are showing the different ecotourism

site proposed by the National Ecotourism Committee and Ecotourism

Technical Working Group. The key sites refer to several specific locations

selected as the focus of concerted efforts to develop ecotourism in the

Philippines. These locations meet the accepted definition of ecotourism and

were chosen based on predetermined criteria. At the national, regional, and

local levels, the 111 organizations will promote the growth of ecotourism in the

important locations. In order to establish an image and position the Philippines

in the domestic and international markets, the National Ecotourism Steering

Committee (NESC) or Regional Ecotourism Committees (RECs) will enlist the

help of numerous institutions, donors, and other development agents in the

formulation and execution of action plans for the key sites.

The goal of the banner sites is to act as role models for the growth of

ecotourism. Additionally, emerging and potential significant sites were noted

as potential locations where ecotourism could grow in the medium and long

terms. Potential important sites are those that are not yet ready for

development and marketing, whereas emerging key sites are those that are

currently in the early stages of development.

The selection of key locations was conducted through a participatory

process including stakeholders at the national and regional levels, under the

direction of the NESC and ETWG. A set of criteria that involved a two-tiered

procedure employing particular indicators to assess the suitability and viability

of promoting ecotourism served as a guide for the stakeholders.

• Natural and/or cultural features (35 percent).

• Availability of ecotourism product/s (35 percent).

• Level of social/ political suppor t (30 percent).

The distinctiveness of a location, together with the abundance and

importance of its resources, are all described by a site's natural and cultural

traits. Resources and activities that promote ecotourism can be created to

give locals a job and a means of subsisting. A community's, government's,

commercial sector's, and NGOs' level of commitment to putting ecotourism

development plans into action can be determined by social and political

support.

A.4.3. Regional Setting

Map 3. Land cover distribution of CALABARZON region

Source: NAMRIA (2015)

The region's total land area makes up 15% and 6%, respectively, of

Luzon's and the nation's total land area. About 35% of the land is forested,

while 65% is arable and disposable. Its forestland is made up of 6% of forest

reserves and 26% of timberland, respectively. The remaining include

substantial areas of public land, including national parks, military, naval, and

civic reservations, as well as land for the construction of fishponds.

In addition, the area has kept up an extensive agricultural base with

about 588,500 hectares of land. 36.3% of the region's total land area is

represented by this. About 70,500 hectares of land are used for agriculture in

Cavite. 31 industrial estates and economic zones make up Region IV-A,

which has a sizable supply of semi-processed industrial raw materials.

Intense variability in climate is currently being experienced all over the

country. As general information, Region IV-A has all the four (4) types of

climate: Type I-with two pronounced seasons, dry from November to April and

wet during the rest of the year; Type II-no dry season with a very pronounced

rainfall from November to April and wet during the rest of the year; Type III-

seasons are not very pronounced, relatively dry from November to April and

wet during the rest of the year; and Type IV-rainfall is more or less evenly

distributed throughout the year. The province of Cavite has two (2) distinct

seasons: wet from May to November and dry from December to April. Laguna

is relatively dry from November to April and wet during the rest of the year,

specifically in the small portion near the southern boundary. The eastern and

southern portions of Laguna province have no distinct season but with evenly

distributed rainfall throughout the year.

A.4.4. Municipality Map Setting of Imus

Map 4: General Land Use Map of Imus City

(Source: City of Imus CLUP)

In the City of Imus, there are primarily two (2) types of land: agricultural

and built-up. These land uses are a logical outcome given its geophysical

characteristics and closeness to Metro Manila. Currently, built-up areas, which

include cemeteries, parks, highways, and infrastructural land uses, as well as

the residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors, account for

around 55% of the total land area, or 2,931.67 hectares. Agricultural land,

rivers, and other waterways make up a total of 2,382.92 hectares, or 45% of

the entire area.

Imus's land use pattern is shifting in favor of ongoing urbanization and

the growth of urban uses with higher levels of intensity that will house

commercial and industrial operations. The E is where the majority of these

developments are located. Aguinaldo Highway and other significant city

thoroughfares. More housing and other urban developments are also probably

going to replace unoccupied and rural land. A comparison between Imus's

current land use allocation in 2008 and 2017 is shown in Table 1 (below).

With an observed increase of 633.57 ha, residential land uses have

experienced the most change in land area allocation among the values

shown. or 11.92%. The agricultural land utilization, however, declined by

629.37 ha as a result of this development. equivalent to 11.85% of the urban

area. On the other hand, commercial (37.5 ha), industrial (35.4 ha), and

institutional uses (11.92 ha) are among the urban land uses whose land area

increased significantly.

Roads currently make up a total of 343.77 ha, which is another land

use sector that has grown in size. 6.47% more of the city's land area was

occupied. The majority of these thoroughfares, however, are found in

residential subdivisions and have only sporadic connections to one another.

Ground surveys and observations make it clear that this lack of connectivity

has caused traffic jams and restricted mobility within the city. Only a few

arterial roads allow for travel between barangays at the moment, and many

transportation.

A.4.5.1. Brief History

One of the Cradles of Philippine Independence is the province of

Cavite. The City of Imus has a complex history, much like the other cities in

the ancient province. The colonial resettlement program, which began in the

late sixteenth century and covered a large portion of what became known as

the Province of Cavite in 1614, was implemented to integrate Filipinos into the

governmental and religious institutions of the Spaniards.

Initially, Imus was a "visita" of Cavite Viejo, one of Cavite's earliest

administrative divisions. Prior to the Recollects taking control in 1686, the

Jesuits first had control of the latter. Up until Imus was fully autonomous and

became an independent municipality, efforts were focused on obtaining

emancipation from Cavite Viejo's ecclesiastical and civil authority. The first

battle of the Philippine Revolution, which resulted in the Spanish soldiers'

loss, serves as the best example of the historical history of Imus. The town

also witnessed Emilio Aguinaldo's promotion from flag lieutenant to general

and recognized Katipunan commander. In reality, during a service performed

in Imus, the first flag of the Revolution was raised and blessed. On May 28,

1898, the first version of the modern Philippine Flag, which was sewed in

Hong Kong, was raised on the place that is now Barangay Alapan I to

commemorate a victory against the Spaniards in the so-called Battle of

Alapan. As it boosted the spirit of the Katipuneros throughout the towns of

Cavite and the entirety of Luzon, the aforementioned confrontation is thought

to have stemmed the tide and prevented what was at the time a faltering

revolution from completely collapsing.

A.4.6. Etymology

The word "Imus" in Tagalog refers to a geographical feature that

separates two rivers. The former site of the church is in Toclong, on a piece of

ground formed by the confluence of the Julian and Imus rivers. The Latin term

"infimus," which means lowland, is where the word "imus" comes from. It also

comes from the word "centimos," which refers to the smallest piece of metal

money used during the Spanish Colonial Era. A group of Spanish troops were

stationed in the Recollect estate house during that time, and after they left,

several locals rummaged around looking for items left behind.

When a group of Spanish soldiers who had just arrived there asked her

for the name of the place and she responded, "limos," thinking they were

asking her the name of the song, the Spaniards went away murmuring the last

syllable, "imus." They found several centimo coins and left shouting,

"Centimos! Centimos!" A young mother was lulling her child to sleep with a

plaintive Tagalog song called "limos."

A.4.7. Land Area Cover

The City of Imus is divided into four (4) distinct land cover types: a)

populated areas; b) agricultural fields for both annual and perennial crops; c)

fishponds; and d) uncultivated grasslands. The City's total land area (2,651.11

hectares) is made up of 217.45 ha of agricultural land and 52.53% of it is

made up of built-up areas. about 43.21 percent of the world's land. The area

coverage for the other classes is detailed in Table 2.

has a total land area of 5,314.60 hectares. Northeastern Cavite's bordering

cities are Bacoor City, Kawit, Dasmarias City, General Trias City, and

Muntinlupa City.

It is about 18 kilometers from the City of Manila and next to Metro

Manila. Due to its mild slopes (5-7%) and maximum elevation of 70 meters

above sea level, the City is mostly composed of lowland alluvial plains. The

West Valley Fault in Muntinlupa City is the nearest known active geologic fault

to Imus; none are known to intersect Imus. A&D describes the entire City as

being disposable and alienable. Of the overall land area, 20%, or roughly

1700 hectares, are used for production and agricultural activities.

Soil Classification Area (ha.) Description

1. Guadalupe Clay 2,852.96 Guadalupe clay soil covers the northern and

central portion of Imus. Clay soils have the

smallest particles and are usually plate-shaped

instead of spherical, allowing for an increase

specific surface area. Because of these, clay soils

can hold a high amount of water and can drain

slowly causing longer durations in warming up and

drying out.

2. Guadalupe Clay 1,293.89 Guadalupe clay adobe is a mix between clay and

Adobe adobe soils. It is located in the south-eastern

portion of the city. Adobe soils are described as

soils with high clay content and proportions of sand

that when mixed into mud then dried out it forms a

brick or wall. This soils also swell and shrink

dramatically and bare ground commonly has

cracks in it.

3. Guadalupe Clay 739.96 This soil classification is a mix between clay and

Loam loam soils and is located in the south-western

location of the city. Clay loam is a mixture of sand,

silt and predominantly clay that are combined to

avoid the negative effects of each type. These soils

are fertile, easy to work with and provide good

drainage and best for planting crops

4. Guadalupe Silt 159.97 Silt loam is located in a small portion in the north-

Loam eastern part of the city. This classification is a

mixture of the three major soil types which is sand,

silt and clay with silt having the dominant

proportion. Silt soil are light and moisture retentive

soil with a high fertility rating. These soils comprise

of medium sized particles that are well drained but

can be easily compacted and prone to washing

away with rain.

Table 3. Soil Classification (Source: BSWM)

The Guadalupe series is further categorized into four soil classifications

based on the dominating size of the particles and texture of the soil. The soil

descriptions and area coverages of these soil types are indicated in Table 3

Northwestern Imus is covered by alluvial deposits of sand, silt and clay,

or loose and eroded materials, usually from rivers, that have been set down or

cemented into a lithological unit. Such materials are usually located at the

lower part of a river’s course, forming floodplains and deltas. The central and

southern parts of Imus are covered with agglomerates of sandy tuff and

scoria, cobbles of pumice (Map 8).

A.4.13. Demographics

According to the most recent Philippine Statistical Authority (PSA)

Census, which was carried out in 2015, the City of Imus is the fifth most

populous local government unit in the CALABARZON Region and the third

most populous local government unit in the Cavite province. The 97

barangays of the city are home to an estimated 94,484 households, each

having an average of 4.1 people. Poblacion I-B, with 316 people, is the

smallest barangay, followed by Buhay Na Tubig, with 32,513, Pasong Buaya-

II, with 27,006, and Malagasang II-B, with 18,028. The City of Imus is made

up of nine clusters of barangays, with Cluster 9 (83,734) having the highest

population density with about one in five of the city's citizens residing there.

A.4.13.1. Social Composition and Characteristics

The City of Imus is a first-class component city under the 3rd

Congressional District of Cavite. It consists of 97 barangays that have been

grouped into nine (9) clusters for ease of facilitating communications and

interactions. Imus has a total land area of 5,314.60 hectares and is located in

northeastern Cavite, bounded by Bacoor City, Kawit, Dasmariñas City,

General Trias City, and Muntinlupa City. It is proximate to Metro Manila and is

only 18 kilometers away from the City of Manila The City is mainly composed

of lowland alluvial plains as its gentle slopes (5-7%) with elevations do not go

beyond 70 meters from sea level. No active geologic faults are known to

transect Imus with the nearest active fault system, the West Valley Fault,

located in Muntinlupa City. The entire City is classified as alienable and

disposable (A&D). Of the total land area, about 1700 hectares or roughly 20%

is for production and agricultural activities.

The general land use of Imus, as identified from land use surveys and

remote sensing with field validation, are built-up and agricultural. Roughly

2,651 hectares or 52.5% of the City are already built-up. Forty-three percent

or 2,177 hectares are cultivated lands for both annual and perennial crops,

while the remaining are mostly natural grasslands and some fishponds. Such

a land use composition is an expected pattern due to its geographical,

topographic and climatic characteristics. Fifty-five percent (55%) of Imus

consist of residential areas, government institutions, parks, roads, industrial,

and infrastructure land uses. It can be gleaned from previous plans that there

has been a significant area of agricultural lands that have been converted to

urban uses.

A.4.13.2. Population Size and Growth Rate

Rapid population expansion and proximity to Metro Manila are causes

of rapid urbanization, which raises the demand for housing in the city. Since

the turn of the century, Imus' population has fluctuated, but there has been a

recent uptick because of in-migration. According to the 2015 Census, the

population grew by 6.01%, from 301,624 to 403,785, while the Crude Death

Rates decreased gradually but steadily. In accordance with estimates

employing a 4.95% annual growth rate, there will be about 720,000 people by

2027. The City's current housing facilities are anticipated to be under pressure

as the 2015 household count of 97,397 is predicted to nearly double to

175,855 during the period.

297,614 people (73.71% of the population) could work in the City of

Imus. These people, who are at least 15 years old and may or may not be

employed, fall into either category. The average number of people in Imus

who could support one dependent is 2.2 when divided into the working age

(15–64) and dependent (0–14 and 65 and over) groups. This advantageous

dependency ratio, when coupled with the necessary investment in human

capital and a suitable business environment, is a demographic dividend for

the City that may eventually result in high productivity and resources freed up

for other economic activity.

Table 4. Population per Barangay and Average Household Size, 2015

(Source: PSA 2015 Census)

In terms of age distribution, Imus’s population is quite young and,

possibly, a major productive resource and economic driver of the City. In

2015, individuals aged 20-24 years old (9.33%), 15-19 (9.27), and 30-34

(9.06%) comprised the largest age groups in the City. Forty-five percent of

Imus residents are between the ages of 15-39, a period in an individual’s life

cycle wherein one is most active and productive. The potential of this group

could be best maximized if they would be provided with the requisite human

capital investments (i.e.: education, healthcare) and an environment

conducive for commerce and investment (i.e.: access to credit, ease in doing

business).

A.4.13.4. Urban- Rural Household Population by Barangay

The ratio of household population to occupied housing units (HU) is

4.27, as per the housing situation statistics from the 2010 NSO Census (Table

4). This is just a little bit higher than the 1:1 national requirement, showing

doubled-up housing and a lack of housing units. When two or more

households share a single dwelling, this is referred to as double occupancy.

The quick construction of housing subdivisions in CALABARZON between

2000 and 2010 has resulted in a large rise in the number of occupied dwelling

units.

Most subdivisions are identified as Open Market Residential

Subdivisions with more than 60% of the residential land area occupied,

according to the most recent data on subdivision as of 2014. With a proportion

of approximately 30%, economic housing comes in second, followed by low-

cost/socialized housing with 8.73%. Less than 1% of the total land is taken up

by commercial subdivision. The land size for the subdivision increased to

1612.31 hectares in 2015, with an estimated 135,500 lots/units.

The land uses within the City of Imus can be categorized into two (2)

types: built up, and agricultural. These land uses are a natural outcome of its

geophysical characteristics and proximity to Metro Manila. Currently, built-up

areas amount to about 55% of the total land area or 2,931.67 hectares which

include residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional areas, cemeteries,

parks, roads, and infrastructure land uses. The remaining 45% or 2,382.92

There is a 6.39 hectare proposed increase. for utilities and further

relevant land uses from 2018 to 2027. These properties will be used to

expand vital transportation, power, water, and waste management services

and infrastructure. Retarding basins and transportation support facilities (i.e.,

impounding areas and transport terminals) are the key constructions that will

be targeted for this land use. Moreover, 0.61 hectares. will be used to build

three new MRFs that will be placed in key locations around the city.

A.4.14.1. Waterworks

Three (3) main organizations—Maynilad Water Services Inc.

(Maynilad), BP Waterworks Inc. (BPWI), and Good Hands Water Specialists

Inc. (GWSI)—provide water supply. As its services are available in 86

barangays, Maynilad serves as the city's primary provider. The majority of the

barangays in Cluster 6 (a total of 9 barangays) are served by BPWI, while

GWSI operates in the Malagasang and Buhay na Tubig regions.

A.4.14.1.A. Existing Surface Water Resources by Type and Classification

The city is prone to floods by nature, especially in its northern region,

which serves as a catch basin and is situated along waterways where water

flows from the province of Cavite's highlands towards Manila Bay. Water

runoff is influenced by a number of elements in addition to the natural water

that naturally flows towards streams and rains. These include the

permeability, or ability of the ground to permit the penetration, absorption, and

retention of water, as well as the various flood control and drainage facilities

that regulate the flow and volume of water that would be released into the

natural waterways.

A.4.14.2. Power Supply

The National Power Corporation (NPC), via the Manila Electric Company

(MERALCO), provides electricity to the entire province of Cavite. The

MERALCO-supplied electricity is available in every town and barangay in

Cavite, bringing the province's energization rate to 100 percent.

of the city's monthly electricity consumption, while commercial and industrial

use make up 27.5% and 22.5%, respectively, of the total. On the other hand,

117,366 KWH are used each month for street lighting. According to the data,

since 2013, both the average monthly consumption (5,025,358 KWH) and the

number of connections (9,939 connections) have increased. The city is

expected to need about 137,980, 475.58 KWH by 2027, which is an increase

of 71,687,694.66 KWH from the amount of energy it currently consumes.

A.4.14.2. Telecommunications

In order to provide a working environment that is favorable to effective,

efficient, and economical operation, communication facilities are essential in

any progressive province. Being able to access information is a benefit for any

company endeavor, therefore these services help the general public stay

informed about current events, worldwide trends, and innovations.

A.4.14.2. Transportation

The city's structure plan has a proposal that also shows open elevated

parking areas, footbridges, and public transportation terminals. These

infrastructures make sure that the various transportation modes and

circulation networks are interconnected. Impounding sites are likewise

categorized as transport support facilities. These locations will act as holding

areas for vehicles that have been towed because of traffic infractions such

unauthorized parking in the future due to the anticipated tight implementation

of traffic regulation and management plans. As of 2018, the city had about

81,000 registered vehicles, and this figure has been continuously rising

yearly. Motorcycles and tricycles, utility vehicles, and cars, more than 50% of

which are privately owned, are the top three most popular vehicle kinds.

The Province of Cavite's transportation system is primarily land-based,

with roads serving as the primary form of transit. National, provincial,

city/municipal, and barangay roads are the several categories of roadways.

The provincial roads connect the national roads, which are a part of the

trunkline systems, from one city or municipality to another, and the city or

municipal roads connect barangays. The province has 2,186.4644 kilometers

of total road length, of which 369.6810 kilometers, or 16.91 percent, are

provincial roads and 408.9790 kilometers, or 18.71 percent, are national

roads. The majority of these roadways are covered with concrete and asphalt.

In addition, barangay roads constitute 1,081.8035 kilometers, or 49.48

percent of the overall road length, while city/municipal roads make up 14.91

percent, or 326.009 kilometers. The majority of these roads are made of

concrete, while others are covered in asphalt and yet others are made of

gravel and soil (Table 7.1 and Figure 7.1). The Provincial Engineer's Office

looks after provincial roads, while the DPWH maintains the nation's roadways.

Private roads must be maintained and improved by their respective owners,

developers, or homeowners groups.

Cavite. Imus City was designated as the "Third District of Cavite" on October

22, 2009.

Road Networks

PITX, which is known as the Parañaque Integrated Terminal

Exchange, is the hub of transportation connecting Metro Manila to the City of

Imus and vice versa. The drive takes around thirty-seven to forty-eight

minutes. Manila and Imus are approximately 21.3 kilometers apart.

Researchers travel from Emilio Aguinaldo Highway and take a ride to Imus

Lumina. In front of Imus Lumina, there are multi-cabs going to the New City

use. Including facilities placed on unoccupied property, the use of legal

easements that will benefit Imus residents in terms of accessibility that was

maximized for the urban park project.

Site Analysis

The city is recognized as the Flag Capital of the Philippines and the

Cavite Capital. Imus is a growing city. And the area is accessible by the

national road, which is now linked to a developing road network accessible

through the major road. The illustration shows the sun path, wind direction,

map orientation, and noise diagram. The sun rises in the east and sets in the

Sun Path

The Sun orientation is an important factor in site planning that has a

significant impact on the building of better and more practical areas. The

image shows the heat-affected zones of the location as well as the sun's

direction. The sun rises in the east and sets in the west in the image shown.

The sun's orientation benefits the project more since the sunrise benefits the

users' health because the sun provides vitamin D. It will also determine where

to provide more shade in the afternoon and where the sun set will be efficient

in terms of people gathering.

RIZAL PARK

Rizal Park is a historical urban park in the Ermita area of Manila, near

Roxas Boulevard. Many Filipinos just refer to it as Luneta Park. Rizal Park is

58 hectares (580,000 square meters) in size. The park's amenities include a

number of gardens, lush lawns, artworks, an open field, ponds, paved

walkways, an observatory, dancing fountains, picnic areas, wooded areas,

beautiful gardens, an open-air concert hall, an artists' sanctuary, additional

monuments, and an open-air auditorium. Rizal Park also has multiple

additional parks and open areas. Padre Burgos Avenue, Taft Avenue, and

The Rizal Monument is the most well-known sight in Rizal Park since it

was built to honor and commemorate the Philippines' national hero, Doctor

Jose Protasio Rizal. The Rizal Monument is regularly guarded by ceremonial

sentinels and soldiers in full uniform known as the Knights of Rizal. Rizal

Monument stands 13 meters (42 feet) tall. It is the location of Jose Rizal's

remains, and it is a major landmark in Philippine history. The 150-foot-tall

Independence Flagpole, claimed to be the highest flagpole in the Philippines,

is placed close to the Rizal Monument. A black granite stone with writings

from Jose Rizal's novel Mi Ultimo Adios, or My Last Farewell, may be seen on

the other side of the monuments. In addition, there are eight bronze

memorials depicting Jose Rizal's last moments. In front of the Rizal

Monument, tourists can also see the marble Kilometer Zero mark.

Rizal Park is managed by the National Parks Development Committee

(NPDC), which features 130 distinct tree species and approximately 3600

plants. Every year on June 12 at 8 a.m., a flag-raising ceremony is held. The

Spanish ruling elite hanged Doctor Jose Rizal and the three martyr priests

Mariano Gomez, Jose Burgos, and Jacinto Zamora at Rizal Park. Thousands

of visitors visit Rizal Park every day, and big celebrations are staged on

holidays such as the Philippines' Independence Day on June 12, Rizal Day on

December 30, and New Year's Eve on December 31. A flag-raising ceremony

is held at the Independence Flagpole on the first Monday of each month.

Its purpose is the beautification of the environment. The presence of

one or more fountains in parks and public gardens is one way to create a

natural ambiance. This is due to the sound and visual beauty of utilizing one

of nature's most valuable resources, water.

Experience beautiful fountains that dance to the beat of music; your visit to

Luneta Park will never be complete. At the park's central Park Lagoon, visitors

can see multicolored water jets that move and spout in time with carols near

the statue of national hero Jose Rizal. Every dawn and evening, it turns into a

water and light show for two hours. People from all walks of life will be

fascinated by these dancing fountains. Everything is worthwhile when you

watch it after a long walk in the park. The fountains added a splash of color to

the park, giving visitors lots of reasons to love it. The dancing fountains of

Luneta Park established it as one of the greats.

The park's primary objective was to provide a space for monks to

meditate on Buddha's teachings. The purpose of establishing and upholding

the garden is for the benefit of meditation.

The Japanese Garden is a Japanese-style garden garden or Zen

Garden located nearby Rizal Park in Manila. Its interior is spotless. Pavilions,

lakes, pathways, and lawns are all distributed with care. Flowers and plants of

various varieties are also planted. Stone lanterns, a hallmark feature of

Japanese gardens, and two bridges (one spanning the center pond) provide

the feeling of being taken to the Land of the Rising Sun as they loop around a

central pond filled with water lilies. Despite its proximity to a busy street, the

modest garden is surprisingly tranquil and lovely.

Meditation may be beneficial folks relax by allowing them to connect

An amphitheater is an open-air arena used for entertainment, performances,

and sports. It brings people of all ages together for amusement, leisure, and

engagement.

An amphitheater behind the Quirino Grandstand in Rizal Park was

once proposed, but it was ultimately decided that the entertainment facility

would be built next to the Chinese Gardens because it had more room and a

slope. Leandro Locsin, a national artist, created the amphitheater. A canopy

roof was installed in the 2010s.

The facility could support the urban park in accommodating hundreds

of visitors who provide a variety of activities that entertain residents.

Park is a large area of land with grass and trees, usually surrounded by

fences or walls, and specially arranged so that people can walk in it for

pleasure or children can play in it. Rizal Park is one of the famous parks in the

Philippines due to its historical background. The park was formerly known as

Bagumbayan during the Spanish era it was also where Rizal was executed,

one of the main attraction areas in Rizal Park was the Luneta Park or the

Kilometer Zero which brings more tourist spots for tourist. We gather data on

this location due to its flexible and well-planned design of Urban Park in Metro

Manila. We Interviewed different Individuals with divergent perspectives. We

focus on coping with the main problem that we can encounter in designing an

urban park most of which based on the interviews are the zoning, unused

areas, Parking, insufficient Vegetation, and lack of Activity areas.

The interviewee gives their insights of having different proposals and

commends if there will be given a chance to renovate the Park, most of them

are provisions of physical activity and gathering areas. This will be formed as

a first foundation of a park and a great highlight aside from its historical

background. Based on our observations as well, Park must be flexible to

every user by having different approaches of design solutions. The City

Architect, Vendors, Staff, and Visitors give their feedback for having a better

park the conclusion park should be habitable and comfortable for the users

which determines the relationship of humanity to the environment.

The best park he has visited so far is in Ilocos Norte, where the

sun buffer that can be lessened the provision of temporary tents that give the

users natural shading, ventilation, and lightings can attract and improve the

comfortability of the users. Mr. Jomar, a 37-year-old Head Security, travels by

his own personal private motorcycle vehicle. The most frequent issue he ran

numbers that were selected in the question conducted in the online survey,

"Why do you visit public parks? (Choose five main reasons why you usually

visit public parks.)" This shows the importance of a clean place without too

much pollution in the air to be inhaled. For a walk, eat, meet friends, and

exercise followed, this helps us have socialization with other people. Walking

a dog, playing, and attending events are additional activities for our bodies as

well as our pets.

they have been to took the lead. The People's Park in the Sky and Burnham

Park are also next here, which are really special for tourists who go to

Tagaytay City and Baguio City because of this cold climate. Greenbelt Park in

Manila is also called that because of the urban design of these parks. Paco

Park is also known for its beautiful garden, which often hosts weddings. La

Mesa Eco Park and Arroceros Forest Park are especially known to nature

lovers. The Promenade de Dasmariñas also did not lag behind in keeping up

From the previous questions, they have visited beautiful parks, but

there are a few that still need improvement to make them more useful. The

three leading areas here are maintenance, security, and the seating area.

Because of the uncontrollable crowd, resulting in its negligence. Next are the

landscape, picnic area, park signage, facilities, walkway, and lighting. Due to

not following the rules of the park, it is also inevitable that they perform

various activities and perform difficult maintenance. The playground is also

one of them because it is often used by children, so it is inevitable that it will

be easily damaged, and there is no proper parking space, so it is known

where to park. These and others can be used to solve them.
