Bandung as Sea of Fire
Bandung as Sea of Fire was a fire that occurred in the city
of Bandung on March 24, 1946. Within seven hours, about
200,000 residents of Bandung burned their homes.
British troops as part of the Brigade MacDonald arrived in
Bandung on October 12, 1945. Bandung was deliberately burned
by TRI and local people. There were black smoke billowing high
into the air everywhere. The British Army began to attack so
fierce. The greatest battle happened in the Village name Dayeuh
Kolot, in South Bandung, where there were a large ammunition
depot belonging to British. In this battle, Barisan Rakyat
Indonesia destroyed the ammunition depot.
The strategy to fire Bandung was considered because the
power of TRI and people’s militia was not comparable to the
British forces and NICA. This incident inspired to create the
famous song “Halo, Halo Bandung”.

An Unforgettable Adventure to the Sky
I opened my eyes at 4 in the morning. I got up from my bed
and walked to my porch. I wanted to breathe some fresh air
because everything was still so quiet at 4 am. The sun was still
hiding, there was no light outside my porch, but I saw a tiny light
up in the sky that kept on blinking as if it was calling me to get
there. I kept looking at it and stood still in the middle of my
porch. I lost track of time of how long I was standing there, but
suddenly, the blinking light seemed so close and bigger, it was
not so tiny anymore! When I looked down, I was floating, I could
not believe that I was floating. I tried to keep my balance
because I did not want to fall down. When the blinking light was
right there in front of my eyes, it was actually a star. That was
the best thing that ever happened to me. Even though it was
scary, I was actually floating and I got to see a star.

A Mysterious Man Robbed a School Computer
Last night (10/07), right after the school guard locked
away all the doors, a suspected man climbed the school gate
and ran away to the library. All the guards tried to run as fast
as the masked man, but unfortunately, they could not keep up.
The masked man pushed the door a few times and he
succeeded to open it. When the guards finally made it to the
library, the masked man got away through the window and he
carried one library computer.
