RULES ON ATTENDANCE

1. All enrolled learners shall attend the Training Induction Program (TIP) or any
equivalent orientations as scheduled before the beginning of every batch of
training.
2. The default class schedule per day is from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM for the morning
session and 01:00 PM to 05:00 PM for the afternoon session. Changes in the class
schedule may vary depending on future school issuances.
3. Learners are expected to religiously attend their classes and must ensure to sign any
attendance sheets or login to any TESDA-administered registration and enrollment
systems as necessary. Failure to perform the abovementioned activities shall
render the learner absent.
4. Punctuality shall always be observed. Students who incur a total of one (1) hour for a
day’s training schedule shall be considered absent for that day.
5. A student who incurs absences for a total of 20% of the prescribed duration of the
training, whether excused or not, is automatically dropped out from the roll.
6. Three (3) days of consecutive absences without notice shall disqualify any learners
from continuing the training program and they shall be considered as dropped-out.
7. If the training program has not reached 20% of its prescribed duration, all dropped-
out trainees may be replaced by the institution’s existing pool of interested
enrollees.
8. The class suspension will occur during the following instances:
o Typhoon Signal No. 3 or higher
o Other major natural and manmade calamities
9. A student may be excused from classes if they will submit a written explanation for
their absence not later than three (3) days thereafter. The following are the
allowable reasons for absence:
o Personal health reasons
o Emergency reasons, subject to the approval of the institution
o Bereavement
o Maternity
o Religious activities, subject to the approval of the institution
o Other allowable reasons subject to the approval of the institution
