ABSTRACT

Security of every citizen has been the major concern of the government and most
individual of nation. The degree of security is feeble, which has led to a lot of robbery,
theft going on around the world.

This project work, design and construction of a microcontroller based, password enabled
intruder alarm system was designed based on a security door lock that is password
protected with PIC 16F877A microcontroller which operates by sending control signals
to the actuator controls meant for the opening and closing of a door.

The system helps to reduce theft of valuable materials at reasonable cost.
