Beginning my AWS learning on August 19, 2023, I dedicated myself to an immersive 2-month-and-
20-day exploration, culminating in earning all three AWS Associate level certifications on
November 11, 2023.
================================
Resources I used to prepare myself for the exam -
For those of you preparing for AWS Certifications, here are some additional tips from my
experience:
1. Hands-on Practice: Gain basic hands-on experience with AWS, even if you don't have prior job
experience. Set up your own projects, experiment with different services, and understand how they
integrate. Learning by doing is incredibly valuable.
2. Mock Exams: Essential for building confidence and familiarity with the exam format. Take as
many mock tests as possible. Reviewing the answers and understanding the reasoning behind them
is equally important.
(I took around 50 mock test in my whole journey of all three certifications)
4. Regular Revision and Practice: Consistent revision is key. Concepts can fade if not revisited.
Set aside time for regular revision, and practice regularly to reinforce your understanding.
5. Focus on Serverless: Explore and understand the nuances of serverless architecture, a key aspect
in today's cloud environments. Dive deep into services like AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and
DynamoDB, understanding how they work together in a serverless setup.
This journey has been an incredible deep dive into AWS services, refining my skills in architecture,
development, and system operations.
I'm immensely grateful for the support of my mentors (Stéphane Maarek, Neal Davis and Jon
Bonso) and the wealth of available resources on Udemy.
Especially, my heartfelt thanks go to my parents, whose unwavering support made this
achievement possible.
With this milestone, I'm eagerly looking forward to continuing this journey, aiming to qualify for
professional and specialty certifications in the near future.
