IDEATE
Brainstorm ideas for packaging solutions using agar agar, a
seaweed-derived substance known for its biodegradability.

Consider various forms and applications of agar agar in

packaging, such as films, coatings, or molded shapes.

Explore creative ways to enhance the functionality and

user-friendliness of the packaging while ensuring
environmental benefits.
PROTOTYPE
A prototype is a basic working or non-working model, mock-
up which leads us to create a minimal viable product to
final product and variations.
Develop small-scale prototypes of packaging materials
using agar agar. Test different formulations and
configurations to assess strength, flexibility, and dissolution
properties.
Create visual representations and physical samples to
showcase the potential of agar agar-based packaging.
Agar Agar Powder:
Around 1 to 2 tablespoons per cup, depending on the desired
thickness and strength.

Water:
Approximately 1 cup per tablespoon of agar agar powder.

Glycerine:
If using glycerine, about 1 to 2 teaspoons per cup for added flexibility.

Food Color:
Add 1 to 2 drops for the color.
TEST
Testing, in Design Thinking, involves generating user
feedback as related to the prototypes.
Gather feedback from potential users, manufacturers, and
environmental experts on the agar agar prototypes.
Assess the feasibility and practicality of the prototypes in
real-world scenarios.
Identify any necessary improvements or modifications
based on user feedback and performance testing.
