My name is Tanner Pietz, and I am extremely excited to be at Langford Area School as a part of my student teaching experience this fall. For the next eight weeks, I will be down in the music room helping Mrs. Wieser! I am currently in my fifth year at Northern State University studying vocal music education and plan to graduate in December with my bachelor’s degree. After I graduate, I hope to find a job teaching general music and choir. This semester, I will be working closely with Mrs. Wieser to plan and prepare lessons for elementary music as well as assisting with middle school and high school choir. Part of my goal for this experience is to create curiosity for music in the classroom. In class, I hope to excite your students about music and creating music. I have already gotten a chance to get to know your students and I can already tell that this will be a wonderful next few weeks of making music! I want to thank Mrs. Wieser, Langford Area administration and staff for being so welcoming and allowing me to come to Langford to do my student teaching experience.
