Dear Ms. Clara Ribera,

My name is Marta González Velázquez and I have completed my undergraduate university

degree in Psychology at the University of Barcelona. I hereby send you my application for the
position of intern in Communication and Campaigning Support which is offered. Below I
indicate the main reasons that lead me to do so.

I started studying psychology to better understand people's behavior and the influence of the
environment. During my degree, I have seen many fields in which psychologists can help, but it
was not until this year when I realized the great role we can have in the educational field, while
I was doing two university internships in high schools accompanying the specialty of
Educational Psychology. Since October, I have been part of the psycho-pedagogical counseling
teams, where I have developed functions such as: ensuring the inclusion of students with
special educational needs, the development of group techniques that promote identity,
cohesion and positive leadership, as well as the use of technology during learning with a view
to future job placement and, finally, giving support to the creation of psychosocial
development plans with the aim of working on interpersonal relationships and active
communication.

From my point of view, practice is the most important part of learning so, I believe this
internship will give me a new point of view about how to use communication to reach young
people and capture their attention in order to stimulate a welcoming and just intercultural
space.

Belgium is the place where university innovation, students and the best development
opportunities meet, as well as being one of the most culturally interesting cities in Europe, for
this reason the idea of working in a city as important as Brussels fills me with motivation for
obtaining this opportunity.

Finally, it would be a pleasure and an essentially enriching learning for me to be able to work
with you.
