Nosedive is an episode of the popular series “Black Mirror”, this one presents us with a

shocking scene where appearances are the most important thing. In this society, the value of
people is measured by their status. Lucie is the protagonist of this story, she is obsessed with
having a high grade so her life is based only on the superficial.

The episode invites us to reflect on how obsessed today's society is with fitting into a perfect
appearance, which is not far from reality. As the film progresses we can see how Lacie loses
herself due to her objective until she reaches a point of total collapse. At the end of the file, we
are shown how the protagonist puts aside her terrible obsession, finally allowing herself to
release her emotions without feeling judged, thus managing to be herself.

The episode invites us to reflect on the use and importance we give to social networks and
reminds us that the true essence of the human being is in it is imperfections.
