Chilled water Pump

1.0 PUMPS – Horizontal End Suction, Centrifugal pumps

1.1 The chilled water pumps shall be non-self-priming, Single-stage centrifugal pump in
accordance with EN 733, with axial suction ports and radial pressure ports. The pump shall be of
rear pull out design.

1.2 The pump and motor shall be fixed in a common casted base frame and the motor shall be
connected to pump through a spacer coupling with proper coupling guard . The complete pump &
motor set shall be factory assembled.

1.3 Pump Construction

1.3.1 Casing
Pump casing shall be EN-GJL-250 cast iron with integrally casted volute support. The
volute shall be suitable for PN 16 working pressure and shall be tested in factory for 1.5
times the working pressure. The Minimum efficiency index of the pumps shall be 0.6.

1.3.2 Impeller
The impeller shall be G-CuSn10 bronze, hydraulically and dynamically balanced, keyed
to the shaft. The shaft shall be of X30Cr13 Stainless steel material

1.3.3 Shaft
The pump shaft shall be Stainless Steel.

1.3.4 Mechanical Seals

The mechanical seal shall silicon- carbide be bidirectional, force-flushed type in
accordance with EN 12756.
1.4 Motor
The motor shall be IP55 and shall be non over loading over full range of pump
performance curve. The motor shall be compatible for VFD operation and the motor
efficiency shall be IE3.
