1. Registrations

1.1. A Student can participate in the placement process of a company subject to meeting
the requirements and eligibility criteria specified by the company & placement policy.
Only registered students on Superset are allowed to appear in the Campus recruitment
process through CIAP.
1.2. Students should ensure that they complete the registration process in Superset process
by enrolling into the placement cycle so that they can see the job postings and apply.
Just registered does not mean “enrolled”.
1.3. It is mandatory for all the eligible students to register in superset portal, if any
student wishes to participate in the placement process.
1.4. All interested and eligible students need to provide their correct contact and
academic related information (without any ambiguous/ wrong/ misleading/
fraudulent information) in superset for the master resume as per prescribed
format. Inability to provide required information in the prescribed format within
the notified timelines may lead to non-registration for Campus placement.

2. Eligibility

2.1. All full-time registered students of MIT WPU are expected to graduate by the end of
academic year (final year of respective degrees or programs) are eligible to register for
placement (It is mandatory for a student to complete his/her degree before he/ she
joins the organization)
2.2. Students need to have mandatory 60% of attendance for every employability
enhancement program and other training programs conducted by the university to
register for placements.
2.3. Registrations and appearance for all the assessments and periodic tests as
communicated by the CDC (Career Development Centre) faculty placement coordinator
of the school and CIAP is Mandatory.
2.4. Students should ensure 100% attendance on all the prescribed assessment platforms
like AMCAT, COCUBES etc (technical, coding, Verbal, Quantitative reasoning etc)
2.5. Registered students on Superset only will be considered for placement process.

3. Employability Test

3.1. An individual student has to appear for minimum 3 employability test in academic year.
3.2. Results will be communicated to the student’s, placement coordinators and Program
Directors mentioning the areas of improvement will be communicated to the student’s.

4. Registrations on Superset Portal

4.1. All registrations to be done on Superset. To be eligible for the Campus placements,
students need to register with CIAP on SUPERSET placement portal.
4.2. Those students who are opting for higher education or entrepreneurship or other
career options must register on Superset Portal.

5. De-Registration / Opting out of placements

5.1. A student can opt out from the placement if he/she has some other future career plans.
5.2. If a student wishes to opt out of the placement process, he/she must submit the letter
to the CIAP and officially sign out of the placement process.
5.3. A candidate may withdraw from the final placement process if he/she is keen to seek
an opportunity on his/her own. The student needs to seek the approval of the Dean of
the School i.e., submit a duly filled Opt-Out Form to avoid any confusion.
5.4. However, Students who opted for higher studies/entrepreneurship-start-up/family
business can participate in training sessions organized by CIAP from time to time.

6. Grades or Percentages validation & Disciplinary Action

6.1. Students will be de-registered from the placement cell if they are involved in any in-
disciplinary activities (not following etiquettes or protocols like invoked in any
ambiguous/ wrong/ misleading/ fraudulent information) in any stage of the
registration process and Campus recruitment and referred to university disciplinary
committee for further action.

7. Off Campus Placements

7.1. In case if a student is interested in applying for a company not included in the list of
companies participating in Campus recruitment, they are encouraged to forward the
personal contact information to the CIAP team concerned & Associate Dean External
relations.
7.2. CIAP will formally invite these companies for participating in Campus placements.
Proper reference of the source (Student Name) will also be shared with the company
during this process.
7.3. CIAP will specifically announce students to participate if there are any off-Campus
drives communicated and confirmed by respective companies.
7.4. Any student who procures an off-Campus job (with prior approval) is required to report
the same to the placement office within one week of getting the job offer.

8. Pre-placement Talk

8.1. Compulsory Pre-Placement Talk (PPT) attendance

8.1.1. It is mandatory for the students who have registered on Superset for a job
opening in the company to attend the PPT of that company.
8.1.2. If a student does not attend 5 (Five) consecutive PPTs, he/she will be removed
from the placement process until further clearance from the Associate Dean
External relations and respective Division heads of CIAP.

9. Exemption on attending PPT sessions:

9.1. Prior approval leave request to be approved by the school.


9.2. Exemption approvals will only be given in case of health issues or any unforeseen
circumstances (beyond the control of the student) with documented evidence
approved by the school.
9.3. Students will be allowed to attend the placement process of a company only if they
attend the PPT delivered by the company (either online or offline as per company
process)

10. Pre-Placement Offer (PPO)

10.1. After successful completion of the internship, it is highly desirable that the status of the
PPOs be informed within two weeks of the completion of the internship.
10.2. Any form of intimation from a company about the possibility of a PPO being granted in
the future should be informed to the CIAP Office and respective Faculty Placement
Coordinator. The concerned CIAP Specific Point of Contact will take up the matter with the
company further, to aid the student in receiving the PPO.
10.3. All Pre-Placement Offers by any company whatsoever, extended to any student, must be
immediately intimated to CIAP. This also includes offers extended by companies that are
not participating in the 2023 – 2024 Campus placements.
10.4. Students accepting or declining a PPO will have to immediately notify the CIAP of the
same. If the PPO is accepted, the job will be considered as 1st Job offer, and he/she will be
allowed to appear for additional placement as per their eligibility under different job
categories.
10.5. If a student receives a PPO, he/she needs to decide as to whether he/she wants to
accept or decline within 3 working days or the deadline mentioned by the company,
whichever is earlier.
10.6. Students have a choice of selection between Internship PPO and regular placement job.
10.7. If a student declines the PPO offer within the deadline provided by the internship
company, then the student is still eligible for all company categories (under the heading
Company categorisation) through CIAP.
10.8. A student who is found to have breached any of these rules or secured a PPO and not
informed the CIAP and School concerned within the stipulated time limit will be
considered as placed and will not be allowed for any further placement opportunities.

11.Student Code of Conduct

11.1. Students should refrain from ambiguous or wrong or misleading information in his or
her resume. Resume checks will continue throughout the placement/internship process.
If, on verification, any discrepancies are found, the student would be debarred from
placements. This may also attract strict disciplinary action.
11.2. Students are always required to carry their Identity Cards during the selection process,
including pre-placement talks, written or online tests, group discussions, personal
interviews etc.
11.3. Students are expected to come on time and in proper attire and maintain a proper
decorum throughout the presentation.
11.4. Students should not resort to any form of cheating or malpractice during the screening
tests and interviews.
11.5. Students are expected to maintain decorum while interacting with any of the company
officials. Students are not allowed to negotiate with the officials regarding any matters
such as stipend, salary, location, mode of work.
11.6. Student indulging in any kind of misbehaviour / malpractice / providing incorrect
information will be treated as violating code of conduct and debarred from the
entire placement process.
11.7. Any form of misbehaviour or disrespect towards CIAP SPOC, Faculty Placement
coordinator, Recruiter, SPRs or any student volunteers will result in immediate and
stringent disciplinary actions.

Note: Head of the School/Program Director and Dean are responsible to take
disciplinary actions. CIAP will report to school on the breach of rules and regulations by
students.

12. Companies Categorization


(PRE & POST PLACEMENT SCENARIOS)

A student can avail a maximum of 4 job offers `through CIAP. A student can apply for companies
until he/she gets a job offer. After getting offer from one company, a student can participate for
another category companies as offer upgradation as per the below mentioned category:

These 5 categories are:

12.1 BASE Opportunity


12.2 REGULAR Category: 1st Opportunity
12.3 DREAM Category: 2nd Opportunity
12.4 SUPER DREAM Category: 3rd Opportunity
12.5 CORE DREAM Category: 4th Opportunity

12.1 BASE Opportunity

1. Mass/Bulk Recruiters/Off-Campus (Applicable for All Divisions / Programs as per


Industry norms):

2. Companies offering in/Off Campus and getting placed in such in/off-Campus


opportunities for CTC below base salary (As per Annexure-A attached) shall be eligible
to appear for further Campus recruitment process.

3. Allocation of Mass/Bulk Recruiting/off-Campus Companies is at the CIAP and School’s


sole discretion. This category will be notified in advance through mail and at the time of
announcement of Job through Superset portal.

4. All the eligible students for base category companies should appear and if selected
should accept job offers from the BASE CATEGORY/MASS/BULK Recruiting Companies.

5. All such selected students in base category (As per Annexure-A attached) will be
allowed to appear for further subsequent job categories

6. CIAP reiterates that students of the above-mentioned category will not be blocked in
the placement portal and will be allowed to appear for other companies.

12.2 REGULAR Category: 1st Opportunity

1. The offer received by the student more than 4.5 lakhs salary (depending on the
company profile and School) is considered as REGULAR (1st Offer) offer bagged by
student (differs from Division to Division)

2. This will be considered as the student’s 1st offer.

12.3 DREAM Category: 2nd Opportunity

1. The dream company option is available to all students subject to the 1.5 X rule (Where X
is the CTC of the 1st offer regular category).
2. Please remember that if the new CTC is not more than 1.5 X of the original regular 1st
offer, then students are not eligible to appear for the said company as “Dream Offer”.
3. A student is eligible to appear for multiple dream offer companies process till the time
student is placed under dream offer category. Once student is placed under1 dream
offer, he/she will not be eligible to appear for subsequent dream offer category
companies.

4. Any offer upgradation (as per stated policy) the previous offer automatically becomes
null and void.
5. All such students who want to opt and are eligible for offer upgradation need to seek a
go ahead from CIAP and School based on the above policy.
6. However, a student who has been selected by a company on a CTC (package) ‘X’, may be
allowed to participate in selection process of a company offering a CTC package not less
than ‘1.5 X’. The ‘Dream Company’ option is available to all UG and PG students.

12.4 SUPER DREAM Category: 3rd Opportunity

1. International Companies or Indian companies offering package more than xxx (As per
Annexure-A attached) (Just an example) and CTC will differ from School and programs
and will come under the Super Dream Slot.
2. Dream offer is a relative number (1.5 X) and Super dream offer is an absolute number
xxx (As per Annexure-A attached) (Function of Program and School).
3. Any offer upgradation (as per stated policy) that a student a gets which is “better” than
his previous offer, the previous offer automatically becomes null and void.

12.5 CORE DREAM Category: 4th Opportunity

1. This is applicable to all programs in all the divisions depending on domain / core /
specialization offered by the school. Core Job Profile refers to the job profile aligned
with the student’s department curriculum and will be strictly decided by School in
consultation with CIAP.
2. Those students who are placed in a non-core organisation will have the option to apply
for CORE Company.
3. The concerned School and CIAP will segregate company as core and non-core on a case-
to-case basis based on the job profile given by the organisation.
4. Once a student receives a core company offer using this policy, his/ her previous non-
core offer becomes null and void.
5. A student who is already placed in a core company will be eligible for both Dream and
Super Dream offers.

13. Offer Acceptance:


13.1. Students cannot reject ANY offer for any whatsoever reason once he/she is selected
through all the rounds of the selection process. Students who reject an offer will
automatically be marked opted out of placements and will not be eligible for any
upgradation of offers.
13.2. If a student after receiving an offer, appears for upgrading the offer (the Regular-Dream-
Super Dream- Core) in a company of upper category and if he/she gets selected in that
company of upper category then that will be the final offer for him/her. He/she will have
to accept that offer and previous offer automatically stands cancelled.

13.3. If the student is in process for multiple companies at a time, it will be student’s choice to
select the company.

14.Offer Rejection:

14.1. If a student gets an offer from a company, then student is bound to accept the offer. The
student cannot reject any offer made by the company. The student can relinquish an offer
only if any second offer is made as part of offer upgradation policy.

15.Joining Formalities:
15.1. A student who has accepted the offer is expected to join on the agreed joining date.
15.2. Students must complete all the joining formalities immediately as per the schedule
given by the Recruiter. The career services shall act as the point of contact for all issues
related to placements.

16. Hierarchy for Queries & Clarifications

In case of any queries or clarifications, students must follow the following hierarchy from the
point of registrations on Superset portal to final selections in placements.

 Student Placement Coordinator of the program or division


 Faculty Placement Coordinator of your respective school or branch or department.
 CIAP Specific Point of Contact for the respective Division.
 CIAP Assistant Director Career Services
 Associate Dean External Relations
 Deans of concerned School/ Senior Director CIAP
