AIM:
1. To learn resistor colour coding.
2. To determine the stated value of a resistor by interpreting
the colour code indicated on the resistor.
COMPONENTS REQUIRED:
1) Resistor.
2) Digital Multimeter.
THEORY:
The color code is The figure on the previous page shows a simple resistor
with coloured bands. Four bands around the resistor's body . The resistor
color chart lists the colors along with their given numerical values. The
first major figure of the resistance value is shown by the color of the first
band. Second important value is shown by the second band. The third
band's color denotes how many zeros come after the first two digits. The
third band indicates the fractional value of the first two significant
CIRCUIT DIAGRAM:
PROCEDURE:
1. Axial resistors are cylindrical and have leads extending
from each end.
OBSERVATIONS REQUIRED:
RESISTOR COLOR THEROTICAL PRACTICAL
Green,Blue,Brown,Gold 560Ω +- 5% 553.1Ω
Yellow,Violet,Blue,Gold 470Ω +-5% 460Ω
Blue,Brown,Yellow,Gold 100kΩ +- 5% 97.3Ω
Orange,Red,Yellow,Gold 320kΩ +- 5% 317Ω
Blue,Green,Orange,Gold 68kΩ +- 5% 66.1Ω
RESULT:
By that we got know that Resistor colour need to be seen
Theoreticaly and can be measured through digital multimeter
and we can get the aprox. Value if we do the theory part
correctly.

CONCLUSION:
The resistor color code proved to be quite helpful to recognize
each resistor's value. The data shown in the table shows that all
of the resistors chosen fell inside the color-coded tolerance
range. The manual calculation using the color code was
somewhat successful in matching the resistor value from the
digital multimeter.
