Q. According to a Nielsen Global Survey, consumers are more likely to support companies that
they perceive as socially responsible. Find three examples of advertisements that incorporate
socially responsible marketing messages. Do these advertisements increase your likelihood of
buying from the company sponsoring them? Explain.
According to the Nielsen Global Survey, consumers are more likely to support companies that
they perceive socially responsible. Here are three examples of advertisements that incorporates
socially responsible marketing messages.

Example 01: Surf Excel.

Message: “Neki Nahi


Rukegi”
In this ad brand
communicates
It’s central message – that
Stains are fine if they are
result of “Good Deeds” or
“Neki” – through children.
Ad starts with a child asking
his father it is possible to do a
good deeds during the Holy
month of Ramadan. Father
says if there is will, there’s
always a way to do good
things.

This ad shows children dirt their clothes by performing good deeds like packing foods for
building watchman. Helping neighbours, arranging supplies and thanking a healthcare worker.
Brand also adds a song “Rehmat ki Barish” which makes ad more interesting.
Example 02: TOMS

Message: “One For One”


In this ad brand
communicates it’s message
“One For One” is the promise
made by company to give a
pair of shoes to needy people
for each pair sold. TOMS has
gifted nearly 100 million
shoes to different
impoverished countries to
improve their lifestyles.

Toms marketing often plays a vital role in attracting it’s customers attraction and then emotions
by emphasizing that how a different simple purchaser can change others life. Such
emotional charged messages hits consumer strongly who value social responsibility.
Example 03: Nestle Fruita vitals

Message: “Eliminate Plastic”

sustainability by highlighting

contributing to the reduction
of plastic waste and fostering a

HOW THESE ADVERTISEMENTS EFFECTS ME?
Socially responsible advertisement messages influences my buying behavior by appealing to the
values of the consumer. When I perceive a brand as socially responsible, it has enhanced my
trust and loyalty. I often prefer to support companies that align with my ethical and social values,
leading to increased brand preference and repeat purchases. Additionally, socially responsible
messaging can create a positive brand image, influencing consumers like me to make purchasing
decisions that contribute to societal or environmental well-being.
