Maintenance activities are fast becoming the target for cost reduction and are therefore subject to many pressures

consequent concerns for aviation safety and health & safety of personnel require fully effective auditing to ensure
that reductions in costs do not in turn lead to reductions in standards.

This is a highly participative and practical 3 day training course for auditors and managers who need to manage or
undertake effective auditing activities in aerodrome maintenance environments, either as an internal audit function
or in relation to contracted activities.

This course considers auditing as an internal process that needs to be designed and managed to provide the
Aerodrome Accountable Manager with meaningful information confirming regulatory compliance as well as process
effectiveness and implementation of corporate policy in relation to maintenance activities. It addresses auditor
competence, the programming of audits, planning of individual audits, auditing techniques, the reporting of audit
findings, the corrective action and audit close out mechanism and periodic review of the management system. The
course is based around European regulations and utilises a maintenance related audit role play activity designed to
maximise training effectiveness.
