Add System Role - IIS
1. Logon as Administrator
2. Right mouse click on the Computer Icon in Desktop.
3. Select “Manage”.

4. Select “Add Roles”.


5. Click “Next”.
6. Checked “Web Server (IIS) and click Next.
7. Click “Next”.
8. Select the roles services and click “Next”.
9. Review the roles, role services and features to install. Click “Install”.
10. Installation Result. Click “Close”.
Install SAP Content Server
1. Copy the folder C:\SAPInstMed\CS\CS\WINDOWS into C:\SAPInstMed. (For some reason there is a
bug in the installation script which will look for some configuration files in this particular “WINDOWS”
folder in the installation DVD which is at this stage place in “C:\SAPInstMed”.)
2. Open SUM Folder
C:\SAPInstMed\swpm
3. Run SAPInst As administrator
4. Select Generic Installation Options -> Content Server -> Content Server and Cache Server

5. Unchecked “Install Cache Server” and click “Next”.


6. Fill in the required fields and click “Next”.

7. Provide the location of RDBMS install media and click “Next”.

8. Provide the location of MaxDB software to reside.


9. Provide the password for superdba and control

10. Change the necessary data for MaxDB Database


11. Change the location of Log Volume

12. Change the MaxDB Data Volumes.

13. Review the Summary and click “Next”.


14. Installation completed. Click “OK”.

Test Content Server is working with IIS

1. Open a browser on Personal Computer Desktop. Make hostname can be resolved on the PC,
otherwise, use IP address. Enter the URL,
http://GJOOSCD1:1090/ContentServer/ContentServer.dll?serverInfo. The system should return
with a string per the screen dump.
Post Install
1. Log into SAP ECC system. Launch transaction code “oac0”.

2. Get into change mode.

3. Create Content Repository.


4. Filled in the fields as in the screen below and save.

5. Launch transaction “csadmin”.


6. Create Content Server with settings.

7. Update the repository settings in tab “Create”.
