Model Range 2023

Class Leading Solvent Recycling Equipment

Why Choose Solutex

The largest range of High Quality Solvent Recycling Systems available.

Suitable for any solvent and every applica on.
• No ma er how big or small your usage, we have model that’s right for you.
• For flammable and non-flammable solvents

Solvent recycling is a great way to save money and we have a model that’s right for you from the economic Dista c Standard
series through to the fully automa c Industrial series.

Its important when choosing a solvent recycling system that you get the right informa on and assistance to make an informed
decision. Equipment has to meet a lot of legisla ve requirements such as ATEX for flammable atmospheres. You can be
assured that the equipment we supply meets these demands and is fully cer fied. This leaflet highlights the advantages of a
Solutex solvent recycling system. We welcome the opportunity to be your supplier.

A recycling System for Every Industry

We supply solvent recycling systems for flammable and non-flammable solvents.

For flammable solvents the ATEX regula ons apply.

The ATEX regula ons concerning the working areas defined as dangerous require a cer fied machine in order to treat

flammable liquids.

It is important to note that a machine manufactured with ATEX components is not an ATEX cer fied system, cer fica on is for
the complete machine.

The units we supply are cer fied ATEX II 2G which applies to machines intended to be used in zone 1 areas (place in which it is
probable that an explosive atmosphere can occur).

Our machines should not be compared to machines provided from other suppliers which are cer fied 3G which is for zone 2, a
lower requirement.

Our machines are CE for safety as required by UK and EEC.

Machines are manufactured and supplied under the Quality System ISO9000:2015.

Qualified customer support

Technicians always available to discuss any issues and help with consumables and spare parts.

Our service and installa on technicians are fully trained in all aspects of equipment maintenance and repair. They are
qualified electrically to the highest standards including hazardous areas.
Residues
During solvent recycling the contaminant inside the boiler is

concentrated and in some cases like paints are dried .

The residue has to be removed a>er each cycle or batch.

Recbags
In the Dista c series machines from 15 up to 160 litre capacity its

possible to use the disposable recbags. Ideal for s cky residues.

The use of the “RecBag” allows a high concentra on of solid

contaminants (paints, pigments, resins, polymers, inks, etc.) to be

achieved with a consequent higher dis lla on yield. This results in a

process residue with a very low solvent content; this residue,

contained inside the bag, is easy and quick to discharge, avoiding any

Self Cleaning Boiler System

The Dynamic and Industrial series machines are equipped with an inner
scraper with an -spark blades for high concentra on and drying of the
process residue.

By constantly moving the product to be treated we obtain the complete

separa on between solvent and waste for a high yield. The automa c
drying cycle provides an opportunity to dry the residue in many cases.

The residue is unloaded by pping the boiler using the power assisted
mechanism. The scraper is very robust and rotates close to the boiler
walls making the plant self-cleaning. It has the poten al to produce a
dry residue with a solvent content less than 2% (typically with solid
wastes like paint, resins, inks but not oily or s cky residues).

Drying Phase

In the Professional Dynamic and Industrial series a special control sys-

tem allows users to set a concentra on/drying phase at the end of the
cycle. This can be programmed to run at a higher temperature than the
dis lla on phase helping to strip out any remaining solvent and
produce a dry residue that can be in a powder state in many cases.
Economic models with bag for residues
The Standard Distatic models are the most economic in the range and
start with our smallest model the Di15Ax. The Distatic distillers are
available in load capacities of 15, 30, 60, 120 and 160 litres. The Distatic
series uses a disposable bag to collect waste residues in the boiler during
distillation and avoids the need to clean the boiler after each cycle.
Automatic models with bag for residues
The Professional Distatic models are similar to the Distatic Standard but
feature added automation. The Distatic Professional distillers are available
in load capacities of 60, 120 and 180 litres. The Distatic series uses a
disposable bag (except 180 litre model) to collect waste residues in the
boiler during distillation. The Professional series feature microprocessor
control for added functionality and allow the use of automatic loading and
unloading systems to provide completely automated multi-batch recycling.
Automatic models with self cleaning boiler
The Professional & Standard Dynamic models have a self cleaning boiler
that features a rotating scraper system to prevent the build-up of solids
and does not use bags for residues. The Dynamic distillers are available
in load capacities of 30, 60 and 120 litres. The Dynamic series
Professional has microprocessor control for added functionality and allow
the use of automatic loading and unloading systems to provide
completely automated multi-batch recycling.
Automatic models for high volumes with self cleaning boiler
The Industrial models are designed for high production. The Industrial
distillers are available in standard load capacities of 250, 300, 400, 600,
1200 and 2200 litres with other load capacities available on request. The
advanced Industrial series models feature a power assisted tipping boiler
for simple unloading and maintenance with the convenience of pneumatic
lifting of the boiler cover. The models of the Industrial range are
completely self-contained with all controls mounted directly on the unit
itself for ease of use.

The SM and DM series have been specifically designed for direct

connection to new or existing solvent degreasing plants to keep oil levels
low and improve cleaning efficiency. They are ideal for use with the latest
solvents including HFE’s. They are fully automatic and continually recycle
solvents unloading waste oils into a drum for disposal after cooling. All
models come as standard with microprocessor control of all functions with
easy programming of process parameters.

Special Designs and Fractionating Columns

If you need something special we can design and build a plant to suit your
specific requirements no matter how big or small. With many special
installations worldwide its likely that we have supplied something similar
before. So, if you think that its not possible with your process, then talk to
us, you may find we already have the answer.
We can offer a very wide range of options. Examples include:

Vacuum Systems
Choose from pneumatic or liquid ring pump vacuum systems. Vacuum systems lower the
boiling point making it possible to distil solvents with a high boiling point or those that can
decompose at high temperatures.
Available with level controls and fluid transfer pumps.

Automatic and semi-automatic Loading

Dirty solvent can be loaded into the boiler automatically by pump or drawn by a
vacuum (when specified). A level control ensures the correct amount is loaded each time
and avoids heavy lifting of drums. Available on 30 litre units and above.

Anti-foam disc
In some cases the products contained in the waste solvent can cause foaming that can
lead to discolored solvent being produced. The anti-foam disc can help eliminate this.
Its easily fitted and removed for cleaning.

Steel Bund Tray

A stainless steel tray designed for each model contains any spillages. The low profile
tray does not increase the height of the recycler

Distillate receiving tanks

Tanks are available for receiving the recycled solvent. The tanks up to 120 litre can be
mobile. Transfer pumps and level controls are available.

Fitted with spark arrestor.

AFN Safety device for nitrocellulose

Extra care should be taken when recycling solvents containing nitrocellulose products
often present in flexible packaging and wood coatings. The safety device AFN provides
an additional layer of protection.

Complete turnkey systems

When required we can provide a complete package with storage tanks, solvent recycler
and liquid transfer all mounted on a bund. Installation by qualified technicians and
training for the operator.
