AN ORDER CREATING THE LOCAL TASK FORCE AND OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE TO EMBARK ON A
COMPREHENSIVE INFORMATION CAMPAIGN AND REVIEW THE PROVISIONS OF THE ORDINANCE
REGULATING THE USE AND SALE OF NON-BIODEGRADABLE PLASTIC BAGS, PLASTIC CELLOPHANES
(POLYETHELENE), STYROFOAM AND STYROPOR AS BAGGING AND PACKING MATERIALS IN THE
MUNICIPALITY OF DAUIS AND PROVIDING ITS COMPOSITION AND FUNCTIONS.

WHEREAS, the Republic Act 9003 promoted to utilize environmentally-sound methods that
maximize the utilization of valuable resources and encourage resource conservation and recovery.

WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Bayan of Dauis enacted Municipal Ordinance N0. 10-2018 known as
“An Ordinance Regulating the use and sale of non-biodegradable plastic bags, plastic cellophane
(polyethylene), styrofoam and styropor as bagging and packing materials in the Municipality of Dauis,
Bohol.”
WHEREAS, in order to ensure the compliance of the provisions of the above-mentioned
ordinance, the taskforce and oversight committee shall be created in the municipality of Dauis.

NOW THEREFORE, I, ROMAN B. BULLEN, Municipal Mayor of Dauis by virtue of the powers and
authority vested in me under the law of the Republic of the Philippines, do hereby order the following:

Section 1.CREATION OF TASK FORCE AND OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE – There shall be a creation
of Task Force and Oversight Committee composed of the following:

Section 2. Functions – The Task Force and Oversight Committee have the following functions,
respectively:

2.a Task Force – Shall embark on a comprehensive information campaign on the

ordinance regulating the use and sale of non-biodegradable plastic bags, plastic
cellophane, styrofoam and styropor as bagging and packing materials in the municipality
of Dauis, Bohol.

2.b Oversight Committee – Shall review the provisions hereof in relation to its
implementation and to recommend modifications or amendments
 Section 3. Meetings and Quorum – The committee shall meet once in every quarter or as often
as may be necessary. Majority of its member presents shall constitute a quorum.

Section 3. Repealing Clause. All orders and issuances inconsistent with this order hereby
revoked, repealed or amended accordingly.

Section 4. Separability Clause. If any provision hereof is declared null and void, those not
affected shall remain I full force and effect.

Section 5. Effectivity. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon signing hereof.
