I. OBJECTIVES
A. Daily Objectives
At the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
a. identify ancient measuring units;
b. measure objects using these ancient measuring units; and
c. express an appreciation for the importance of ancient measuring units in
real life.

B. Activity (7 minutes)
To foster active participation in the class, members of each group should
work together to complete the table chart on the board by matching it with the
provided illustrations to the word. Each group member will form a line, facing the
back. The first person in line will match the first illustration, followed by the second,
and so on, using the 'pass' method, which means the next person will take over.
Each correctly matched item corresponds to 2 points.

C. Analysis (5 minutes)
To promote critical thinking, the teacher will ask questions related to the
activity after it is completed but before checking the answers:
How did you find the activity?
Which part of the activity did you find difficult, and why?
What do you think these words represent?
Group 3: Measure the length and width of the classroom floor using a foot, then
draw the classroom floor and label it using the unit foot in the given manila paper.
Group 4: Measure the length of the hallway using the 'pace' unit, then draw the
building's hallway and label it using the unit pace in the given manila paper.
Oral questioning:
1.) What is the importance of the ancient measuring units in our daily life?
2.) How are these ancient measuring units used in our daily lives? Can you
provide an example?

V. Assignment (2 minutes)
To further enhance students' learning, they should complete the following task:
1. Interview your grandfather, grandmother, parents, or guardians using the
following questions:
a. What measuring units did you use in the past, before modern measuring tools
and technologies like rulers and meter sticks became common?
b. Where did you use these measuring tools/units, and how were they used?
c. How did these tools contribute to your daily life in the past?
2. After the interview, create an interview report on one whole sheet of paper based
on the responses of the person you interviewed."
