JEFF-FLOW® P 961 Reagent

JEFF-FLOW® P 961 reagent is a polymeric wax control agent formulated for use as a high performance flow
improver in the production and transport of waxy crude oils. This product is optimized for crude oils containing
a large proportion of C18 – C22 alkanes.

JEFF-FLOW ® P 961 reagent changes the morphology of growing wax crystals from high aspect ratio needles
into more spherical shapes that flow readily, thus reducing pumping energy requirements and leading to
freedom from wax blockages. The recommended treat rate of 1000 ppm can be adjusted if needed to improve
performance. Pour point reductions in excess of 20°C have been observed with this material.

HANDLING AND STORAGE

JEFF-FLOW ® P 961 reagent may be satisfactorily stored in carbon steel tanks using steel pipes and pumps. Caution
must be exercised, however, to keep the material in the anhydrous state to prevent severe corrosion to the carbon steel
tank and related equipment. A drier on the breathing nozzle is recommended to help maintain anhydrous conditions in
the storage tank.

For longer term color stability, it is recommended that the product be stored under an inert atmosphere.
