INFESTED HAIR Infested

populated by parasite such as lice or other insert
The care and treatment of infested hair such as head lice,
typically fall under the preview of nursing care. Here are

hair, skin, nails, mouth, eyes, ears [Dougherty and Lister,
2015 and facial shaving [Ette and Gretton ` , 2019].
ASSESSMENT: Assess the extent of infestation in any
potentials application, such as skin irritation
ISOLATION: Isolate the affected individual to prevent the
infestation from spreading to others.
EDUCATION: Provide educate to the patient and their family
about the infestation, its causes, and how to prevent
reinfestation.
TREATMENT: Administer or recommend appropriate
treatments which may include medication shampoos or
topical treatments. Follow manufacturers guidelines.
HYGIENE: Encourage proper hair and scalp hygiene, including
regular washing and use of clean personal items like combs
and brushes.
ENVIRONMENTAL CLEANING: Advice on cleaning disinfecting
personal items and the living environment to prevent
reinfestation.
MONITORING: Follow up with the patient to ensure that the
infestation is resolved and that there are no complications.
