ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between

challenges and self – efficacy of the Senior High School students at Nantangalan

National High School during the school year 2022-2023. It looked into the level of

challenges encountered by the students; the level of self-efficacy of the

respondent; and the significant relationship between challenges and self-efficacy

among senior high school students. This study used descriptive-correlational

design and survey questionnaire as the main gathering tool. The study was

conducted at Nantangalan National High School, which included 96 respondents

from the Senior High School during the school year 2022-2023. The data were

tabulated into a contingency table and treated with appropriate statistical

measures. This study showed the students encountered a high level of

challenges. majority of the respondents were highly motivated and driven to perform

at their best in their study because they have different subjects where each of the

lessons and learning activities were interesting and exciting. Students shall be

aware of their challenge so that they can develop their ability to adapt to

difficulties, setbacks, and other unfavorable circumstances by building their

resilience.
