OPENING REMARKS FUNERAL PROGRAM

1st) Good Evening everyone, Olivar family, relatives, friends, and peers of our beloved Phoebie
Kate Olivar. As my opening remarks I want to acknowledge specially the family of Phoebie Kate
Olivar. In this moment, think about the things you loved about phoebe, the funny moments you
shared, and specially and how they impacted your life. To all friends, relatives this is the time na
mag laan kayo ng oras to comfort them.

(Deep breath, be sincere and look up to them)…

We know that Phoebie is now at peace and in the wonderful hands of our God.

2nd) I'm so sorry for the loss you are going through, and I want to offer my sincere
condolences. I hope that you find peace and comfort during this difficult time. My prayers are
with you, and as my support I'm here and few leaders of JIL Fortune, especially I want to
acknowledge also our beloved pastor Daniel Tagadtad to make this happened and thank you for
having us in this memorable tribute to Phoebie Kate Olivar. The JIL family extends its heartfelt
sympathies and condolences. (Deep breath)

3rd) Thessalonians 4:13 reads,

And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers
who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope. (1 Thessalonians 4:13,
NLT). In this context, Paul wrote this because the Thessalonians were worried that those who
died before Christ returned would miss the resurrection. So he sought to give comfort by
pointing to the certainty of the Christian hope. It's the hope we need to be reminded of this
evening, as we grieve for our dearest and beloved Phoebie Kate Olivar and this moment she is
now at peace and hope. In (Ecclesiastes 3:1, 4, ESV) for everything there is a season, and a time
for every matter under heaven…a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a
time to dance. Our emotions, griefs, pain and sufferings are valid. In (Romans 12:15, ESV) if we
want to weep or cry, give your emotions a respect to weep. If we want to rejoice and celebrate
our victories we are FREE to embrace it.

4th) CLOSING/ CONCLUSION

Everyone here is lucky to have known Phoebie. I know Phoebie is with us today and smiling at
the beautiful memories we’ve shared. On behalf of our dearest Phoebie, family and friends…
let's take a moment and embrace each everyone.

(AS KEY BOARD PLAYS) ENDING SPIEL, MUSIC ARISE.

I'd like to sing a song that captures the essence of Phoebie, and let’s all rise tayo ay aawit ng
papuri at pasasalamat sa ating Dios and this is a reminder to us na hanggat merong awit tuloy
and ating buhay at pag samba sa ating Dios.
